I can't believe I was driven to laugh and to cry in such a short time, by the same person. This is what I hope we all are able to appreciate in life - true friendships. I so wish these two would tour again, so I can experience the pleasure of their company.

I recently read Marty's book. The part where he talks about how Steve was on the verge of tears when Martin first told him how serious Nancy's condition was still stuns me.

This is one of the funniest, one of the most hysterical tribute speeches *ever.* They have obviously been close friends for many years. it shows.

Martin Short, Steve Martin and Tom Hanks are all extremely good buddies. If you read his latest book there is a lot of really funny stuff about the stuff the three of them get up to off stage.

not sure where i heard it but the great comedians can make us laugh and cry. steve and marty can do both. it is reassuring that these great stars are great people and great friends too. we should all be so blessed.

There was an actual SNL skit called Jew, not a Jew. Tom Hanks was the host and played the gme show host. I think three of the choices were Anne Bancroft, Penny Marshall, and Ed Koch.
