MARTIN SHAW'S MANY FACES - Happy 65th Birthday

Ойын-сауық

Many Happy Returns Mr Shaw!
A tribute vid covering 43 years and 38 characters played by Martin Shaw. He has been in at least 20 more TV productions (most between 1967 and 1977) which are not presented here for lack of archive footage.
The vid is set to movements 1. Vivace and 3. Allegro of one of his favourite Bach concerts - Concerto for 2 Violins, Strings, and Continuo in D, performed by David and Igor Oistrakh and Royal Philharmonic, conductor Eugene Goossens.
I own nothing, all copyright remains with the rightful owners.
Many thanks to everyone who has helped me to find some of the rare footage you can see in it!

As we are Americans, we first enjoyed your performances in Inspector George Gently. I told my husband of 53 years that I thought you were so sexy. We thoroughly enjoy British television and movies. You are on the top of my list! Thank you for the entertainment you bring into our home. Marsha, Paradise, Texas USA

Martin Shaw has improved with age. He is more handsome and sexier as an older man. So happy to have just discovered him as Adam Dalgleish.

Thank you very much for your comment! Martin Shaw chose not just this concerto, but also this exact interpretation when he presented his favourite music on Desert Island Discs - and yes, I too think it's outstanding.

Yes, it took quite a lot of time, but I enjoyed every second! If he really happens to watch it, maybe he'll see it not just as a tribute but also as an evidence of the dedication of the fan community - I was able to use very rare footage because many people loved him and cherished his work for so many years.

As I watch the time go by from the beginning of MS's career until today I see a truly fascinating man giving life to so many different characters. He's no one for the drawer where so many others live a contented life never showing any variation of talent. Thanks for this intriguing collection and, of course, Happy Birthday, Martin Shaw - you are simply the best.

@Yorkmum Sorry, it took me a while to get to reply, was on holiday in UK. *happy grin* All of the archive clips you see here are given to me by Martin Shaw fans who collected and kept them for years. The same applies to the old interviews. They trusted me to digitalize them and post them here to be seen by everyone who is interested in MS. So I in turn I take my hat off to them for their kindness and generosity!
