the one and only original hataw concert queen .. local artist started realizing there is a big market for local singers to hold a live concert and fill up all the seats.. it started with the Queen.. Pops Fernandez... ( and Martin Nievera too)... the rest just follow ... then Sharon was very famous but she never went into concert.. her mother.. i met in person ( so beautiful) and one of the nicest person ..

Sobrang favorite ko sya nung 80s. Super subaybay ako sa Penthouse Live at lahat ng concerts nya pinapanood ko talaga. May scrapbook pa akong ginawa. Hayy Pops. Love pa din kita.

Always since Dito Ba to Penthouse, have to stay late Sunday pa. I get emotional with her stories about her late Papa Eddie F. I thought her shyness was related to what was going on with her Papa back then. I would stay from rehearsals all the way to the concerts. in Davao (having have a cousin working at Central Bank where she and Martin would do their concerts). We are on the same age. Only artist that I followed up to this age.

She"s very classy.

For me one of the best magic about Pops during those time is that, when she sings Parang pinagdaanan talaga nya sa totoong buhay yung mga kinakanta nya. She may not be the best Vocalist but she could really interpret the song with rightful emotion and that put her to exemptions. Sya lang din yung nakita kong Artist na iba ang ginagawa sa Tv, iba din ang ginagawa sa Concert. She had the liveliest audiences ever! napapatayo talaga nya lahat para sumayaw. maraming mas mahuhusay na performer but for me may mga bagay talaga na hindi nadadala sa scripted spiels thats why sometimes parang nag mumukhang dull yung show. Most of them they dont have that engaging power to their audience kaya ibang iba talga ang mga concert ni Pops nuon.

Fan na fan ako ni Ms. Pops noong bata ako. Naalala ko noong pumutok yung balita at na confirmed na kabit ni Martin si Katrina. Si Pops very professional at tuloy pa rin na nag show sa Penthouse Live. Kumanta si Pops ng I Wanna Know What Love Is. Pigil na pigil nya umiyak . Pero buong mukha nya at neck nya was very red na. Tapos at the end of the song dun na bumuhos ang luha nya at lahat sa studio were crying. Kaya ang daming galit kay Martin noon kasi nakita ng tao kung paano nya nasaktan si Pops. But Im so happy that Pops is so happy now.
