Martin Fisker runs a dairy farm with 400 cows in Mørke, Denmark.
He owns a new JUMBO 8540 with a DIN load capacity of 56.6 m³.
The new JUMBO uses its 65 knives to chop the grass even shorter - to a theoretical length of 25 mm. This makes silage making a lot easier for Martin because the grass can be compacted more easily.
Previously, he always needed two tractors for compaction. With the short chopped length on the 8000 Series JUMBO, he now only needs one tractor, which reduces his silage costs significantly as a result.
Wear is minimised thanks to the new pick-up, which automatically adapts to the driving speed. It also increases efficiency because the tractor is able to drive at an average speed of 20 kph during loading.
