Yes that’s what I feel the most proud of about Martha . She changed musical legal history after that one courageous act of calling them out by LAW for the rest of us who followed 👏🏼 🤗

KittycatDaddy I love some Martha. But I learned from a vocal coach as you get older, your vocal range decreases with age. That's why when you hear artists sing one of their hits from say 20-30 years ago, the song is in a lower key, and those top notes they use to it, they don't do it anymore. Martha may not have went to that high "set us free", but I don't care. She's still good.

Agreed....I didn't say she had the same range, because she doesn't. Similar to how in later years and performances of "Last Dance", Donna Summer didn't hit the high note anymore, but went to a falsetto. But the range Martha uses now is still gorgeous. Her voice sounds as rich as it ever did, even if her range has decreased some.

I don't know what the END UP was, but I sincerely hope she got MILLIONS, because hers was the VOICE of a dance generation

Latanya Tankersley Surprisingly this song was actually song by Black Box for real. Marsha is singing in this live but she is not the original. Thier voices have VERY SIMILAR tone and power. Look up Black Box live. It's really her.

@@hollaatthekid1796 you really know nothing about black box deal , but I will explain , the woman you see on black box videos is a model Kathryn Quinol she can’t sing and was hired to lip synch the vocals . Martha Wash is the voice behind Black Box songs , except for 1 track “ ride on time “ that has Lolleata Holloway’s voice . The singer you see singing live on their new videos is a new singer Celestine , she has a great voice and she is not the model you see on the videos . I hope that now you understand what happened to Black Box . Martha wash also is the voice singing for C&C music factory .
