Great weapon system! But the warhead its a bit disapointing, at least a 70 to 90kg warhead was extremely useful agaisnt a wider range of targets, even a AGM -65 Maverick use by the USMC is more effective agaisnt any naval threat, its just to small of a warhead for such great missile, period!!!

did you consider a delayed explosion, so the warhead inflicts damage inside the ship you dont need an awful load of explosives, if you know your opponents weak spots (eg for ships elctr cables, setting fire to the inside of ship, or my favorite, the damaging of the turbineshafte which can lead to water intake and loss of ship VERY easily you need the missle to KNOW WHEN TO SET OF TO DEAL THE GREATEST AMOUNT OF DAMAGE

It has a better warhead than the AGM65 wich is mainly used with the HE one inside the USMC on harriers (AGM65F) and onestly You cannot compare a more than 100 km range missile with a 20 km one. This one has also a SAP warhead, wich mean that the explosive warhead will explode inside the ship, creating enormous damages even with a small warhead.

@@NIGHTHawk1988 Listen the AGM 65 its just a example they have a range off warheads like a 136kg penetrating blast fragmantation warhead, they have a SAPHE warhead to so in what is better a 30 kg warhead compared to a 136kg penetrating blast fragmantation warhead, explain, do you know what you are talking about, i can put a laser guided Maverick in the captain bridge, im a big supporter of MBDA since their inception but they have made some huge mistakes along the years, like the Fire -Shadow loitering heavy munition that was ready for prodution and voila dissapear, and a couple of years later loitering munitions is the main armament that every nation wants MBDA for a decade could be selling to European armies and getting huge cut of the market but like many times MBDA decided the UK will not make a huge order we will cancel cannot be like that, im telling you that the Marte ER its a great missile but a 30kg warhead its just not enough period!

Both missiles will obtain similar result : not sufficient to sunk the target but sufficient to put the target out of the game. But one of them have 4 time more range.

@@kaamt62 not really the AGM 65 have more then 25km range for sure can reach 60km but the Marte ER its a much better system and modern solution but with a 125kg warhead this missile would be a great solution even to compete with the NSM in Helicopter use and launched from Fighter aircraft. MBDA already have the Sea Venom/ANL for disable light patrol vessels or torpedo boats until 1500 tons and a 30km range and a 30kg warhead so why not increase capabilities in the Marte ER a Turbo jet missile with amazing capabilities but a weak warhead why not increase the warhead size to at least 120kg that will make sense!!

Australia Army decommissioned all of its NH90 and replace it with Blackhawk Helicopters. So funny coz NH 90 was purchased to replace all Australia Blackhawk 😂😂😂
