Marshalltown is the only larger city in Iowa where thunderbolts are still the primary siren in the system. I made the hour drive from Cedar Rapids and boy this didn't disappoint.

That's a pretty scary ambience. Reminds me Delphos, OH 1003's mixed in with the 2001's. That was a scary ambience too.

Did these sound before the 2020 derecho? The one video I've seen of Marshalltown before and during the derecho no sirens went off like in other Iowa and Illinois cities

I believe that sirens weren’t really put off until after Tama because nobody knew how bad it actually was. I’m sure there’s some exceptions to this, but I haven’t found a lot of information.
This sounds scary, but cool. Chilling fear a Tornado Warning has been issued for Marshalltown, IA and surrounding areas!

I may live in marshall town siren sounds like wyomings eas alarms and cabonia siren I hear that siren before that my two cousin had hear it also
Why were the sirens going off? Do they do tests on the second to last Tuesday of the month? Also great ambience!
