Hi, did you face any problems with them? Im reading many reports about hissing sounds in one of the speakers and some noise canceling problems... I really like them but hesitant after reading that
I enjoy listening with these headphones. The comfort, build quality, and sound is good. Having the volume and the ability to skip tracks in one button makes them easy to use for me. One thing I also enjoy is the fact that they do not make creaking noises or make a bunch of noise when wearing. I have fallen asleep with them (I never sleep all night with them) and they don’t feel like they are about to crack or creaking interrupts the sound. If you are using for work or meetings I would try them with the V Moda boom pro mic that plugs in. It works well and has a silence button on it. Using the app to control the EQ profiles works extremely well for me. I tend to keep it on the jazz setting. the ANC adjustment that allows you to go up or down in 10% increments is a very nice touch. They fold very compact and I have no problem throwing them in any bag when on the move and not feeling like they will break or take up too much space by them being in a nice bag.

The best review video of Monitor 2 ANC, I have seen on KZread. Hands down Awesome content man, subscribed ! Btw could you please check that if audio can be shared via 3.5 mm audio jack to another headphones. Marshall Major 3 & 4 have this feature. Do you think absence of ACC and aptx codecs can be a trouble in listening music through iPhones and Android ?
@gearupaaron

Thanks for the props and your support - you can help it grow even more by telling your friends and family about me/GearUP 😁 Unfortunately, I don't have these any more, so can't speak to the 3.5mm sharing, but if Marshall tends to do that, it's quite likely that these will have the function too. Without those codecs, not a problem, unless you have high fidelity streaming services that leverages those codecs.

Hi Aaron, great review. I love the sound of my Marshall Major 3 BT and I expect the sound of the Monitor 2 ANC to be similar but I'm not the biggest fan of the design of the Monitor 2 ANCs. Are there other over ear headphones that sound pretty similar to the Marshalls? Thanks!

Hi, thanks souch for watching and for your question... Have you tried the Sony XM3 or 4, or Jabra 85H (my daily driver), or the Microsoft Surface Headphones? If you want to further down the price range, try the Soundcore Q30 - in terms of SQ alone, they're impressive. Hope that helps!

Only those the two areas you mentioned. Jabra beats it in every other area - controls, water resistance, proximity sensor, phone calls, battery life, app, and price. You might also want to wait for my Razer Opus review this coming week - you might actually find that helpful in your search, too.
Great review! Quick question, how would you compare this to the Bose qc 35 ii? I can't really decide between these two

Hi Noah, that depends on your needs and budget. The Bose MAY have a SLIGHT edge in NC and weight, but everything else goes to the Marshall. But again, it's down to your priorities. 😁 What are you using your headphones for?

Hi Aaron thanks for the review, I’m interested in the Marshalls but I’m torn between these and the Sennheiser momentum 3, in the UK the Marshall monitor 2 cost £250 now but the Sennheiser still cost £349 which is still £100 more, are the Marshalls way off for sound and comfort compared to the Sennheiser?? This will be my 1st time purchasing anc headphones so I see it as an investment so I would like something a little future proof.
@gearupaaron
3 жыл бұрын
Hi @Nej89, I don't have any experience with the Momentum 3, but for £100 more, I don't see being exponentially THAT much better than the Marshall in terms of SQ and comfort. Do you plan to work out on these, by any chance? If so, then the Sennheisers would fit better. Hope this helps some.
Hi Aaron! If you see this I would greatly appreciate it! I'm going to be a returning college student. Last year I used the Jabra 85h and sadly I lost them a week before school ended. I like studying in the library and listen to music or videos throughout the day in the cafeteria, coffee lines, and walking on the way to class. I am looking for ANC and durability. Would you recommend the Jabra or the Marshels for my normal activities?

Some brands like to do the whole expose-wires thing (like Marshall and Audio-Technica), and so far, haven't run into issues, even though I was always wary about snagging those wires on something and yanking too hard.
Hi, sooo I have a Big question. I'm about to buy my first high quality headphones, but I'm torn between the Sony WH1000XM4 and the Marshall Monitor 2 ANC. What Is your take on these two, which one Is better in sound? In my local store the Sony are in discount so it's a bit cheaper than the Marshall, but I do like more the Marshall's looks. Now the break point for me Is the sound quality, not so much the ANC, I have been told and found on internet that the sound quality Is better in the Sony's than the Marshall's, but how much?? Cause if it's just by a bit I think I'll go with the marshall because of the durability. (Also I do prefer a Neutral Sound or Soundstage). Thanks in advance for any advice!!

Hi Eddie, great question, but tough one to answer. If money is no object, then Sony. If sound is your priority, Sony. But the Marshalls sound nearly as good with better user controls (unless you prefer touch controls).
Anybody know how to have ANC off by default? Each time I turn the headphones ON, the ANC is ON.

well.. just received the Marshall Monitor ANC II... and i'm returning it. In my opinion, this headphone is not good for using while cycling. Even with little wind, the wind noise is just really annoying. Turning ANC on makes it even worst (the wind noise seems to be amplified.). And above all that.. Hey Adam, it's perfectly fine. The clamping force on headphones nowadays behave pretty well with eyeglasses, unless you some giant or hugely bowed glass arm. If anything, it's less a concern about comfort, and more about sound leakage/isolation, as glasses disrupt that seal somewhat.

That is of course, unless you enjoy "air hissing in the right ear cup"-had it...... a toggle(useless) switch you literally have to hold in for 5 seconds EVERYTIME just to power on......which can't differentiate between track skip and volume half the time, a "Marshall App" that crashes weekly, and Bluetooth pairing capabilities that are on par with Dollar General electronics. "Vegan-friendly leather" means plastic, which is horrible for animals and the environment. Those synthetic headphone pads eventually start flaking making tiny pieces of plastic material that quickly break down into micro-plastics. Leather may come from animals but it's bio degradable and causes less harm to the environment and animals in the long run.
