Mars Hydro TS 1000: A Surprisingly Good Grow Light For The $

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Mars Hydro hit me up again to take look at one of their newer grow lights, the Mars Hydro TS 1000. It's a very "bare bones" LED grow light from Mars that comes in around the $120 mark depending where you get it, and for that price you get a shockingly good umol/J.
Overall, it's a buy for a budget grow led grow light for beginners. If you're looking for maximum yield and price is no object, then I would recommend a higher-tier grow light. But if you're getting started, it's a fantastic light.

@loveistheanswer5924 in early veg, sure, but not to flower. 6 fully grown plants require much more light to produce. Standard 4x4 tent should have at minimum 480 REAL watts, but with LED ppfd is most important. Check out AC Infinity and thier 4x4 tent bar lights.

I also recently reviewed this light - for slightly less specialist purposes - but I had difficulty changing the output, which is via a screw embedded through a hole in the back. I was wondering if you also tried to adjust this and had the same trouble I had with it? Other than that issue, I'm very happy with it for what I need it for. Glad I found your channel - awesome videos!

Absolutely I do it with any light I can. But I don't think this particular light is loosing as much side light as he's crying about. Led lights are pretty beamish with the light produced. This light will like many LEDs, light only directly underneath it. And I'd say mars put the reflector about as good as its going to get.

With absolutely no experience what so ever, I am wondering if the reflection from the side of the grow room is an advantage in providing light from the sides as well as the top. However I suppose that depends on the reflecting material, as to how much, and which frequency gets reflected. I hear so often about 'grow room plants' being 'leggy', and clustered towards the light source. Nice review. Interesting.

Mitchell Zimmerman to an extent. As of right now all you get for $10 is a 50watt( if lucky) cfl. That ain’t growing anything worth while on its own. But I agree, led lights don’t need to be so expensive. Especially when the high end lights are probably made in the same Chinese factory as the cheaper lights. Any light that can pay for itself in the first grow is worth while in our books. The fancy ass lights with all the gadgets are no good for using multiples in big grows unless you have excess money to burn. No need for all that extra stuff on EACH light. Your just paying for frills. One simple controller in a room will do fine.
