Now here's a strange thing....as your grandmother I have a close-up view of you two and how you communicate with each other. You don't look alike most of the time but every now and then I look at you and you look just alike. It always startles me when that happens, and I certainly can't explain it, I just wonder how that can happen! Nice ride along, Austin is a real-life sweetheart!

I've watched several videos and didn't realize they were twins, but all of a sudden, during one video, I was like, oh crap, which one is which. I think it was the 69 camaro video. I had to pause the video a few times and think about it. Your granddaughters are just so adorable.

I had boy - girl twins after a long time trying. I used to laugh when people would ask if they are identical. I would say, “Yes. Until you change their diapers “. There must have been something in the water. Their kindergarten class had 3 other pairs of twins and one set of natural triplets.

My late Dad is a fraternal twin, the younger of the set. Both boys. Grandma had another set of fraternal twins, too, that was a boy and a girl. She had 16 children total in 14 pregnancies. One of her older children died in infancy, and she always missed that baby, as did all the siblings who wished they could've known what she was like. People always made fun of the big family, but Grandma wanted every one of her children. When she already had 6 living children and one baby in heaven, she was making the beds one day with the window open. It was a hot day in July or August. She overheard her neighbors at the back fence gossiping about what a scandal it was that she was pregnant again, with so many mouths to feed already. It was during the Great Depression, and believe it or not, officials were worried about the decking birth rate, trying to encourage families to have more babies. But average neighbors only thought of the money it cost. Grandma was healthy and would've had as many babies as God would give her, anyway. She listened to the neighbors for as long as she could take it, then she hollered out the window, "I hope it's twins!" And that was my uncle and my Dad. She had a few more babies, then another set of twins. When the 2nd set of twins was born, she and Grandpa couldn't agree on what to name them. Of course they were born at home in those days, so the doctor said he'd check back to fill out the birth certificate. It had to be filed within 3 days of the birth. Day 3 came along and they still couldn't agree, so the doctor told them he'd give them names, and to listen to the radio at 6 O'Clock that night to find out what he named them. This is confirmed by the oldest kids (in their 90s now!) who remember the whole family gathered around the radio to find out what the babies were named! They heard the radio announcer congratulate Mr. & Mrs. Bill Fleury on the birth of their twins, Paul and Pauline. Then one more baby came along before Grandpa went off to join the Army during WWII. If you do a KZread search for "Champion Father of the Army" you'll see the family at that time. The newsreel film crew came to the house to film them. The film was played at the movie theaters before the movie played. The way that came about was that the officials wanted to encourage larger family sizes, so they rewarded servicemen who had lots of children. Grandma and Grandpa had 13 children, so they got the reward. He was paid more than a high ranking officer -- I can't remember if it was Lieutenant Colonel or General. Then when Grandpa came home after the war they had 2 more children. I will caution you both to build up a support network, because when my Dad's twin died, it was so hard on him. Dad was depressed ever after, until the day he himself died. It was the same for the other twins. The brother died first, and the sister never really got over it. She grew closer to my Dad at that time, but it was basically them being depressed together. Then she died before my Dad, so it was really sad. I really do think that if it wasn't for all the other brothers and sisters staying close to them, they might have been worse off. More than half of them are gone now, and it gets harder each time we lay another one to rest. The ones left behind are lonelier, moreso for the twins. So make sure you keep people close. But most of all draw close to God, because He is the One we truly want to be with forever ✝️🙏🏻

My grandmother was a twin and she had two sets of twins in her 13 kids. Usually it skips a generation, but it does run in families. The twin bond is unbreakable. They have a knowing about each other and can almost feel the other one’s emotions when they are separated or in distress or feeling joy. You are very lucky to be a twin and you will have a built in best friend for the rest of your life! The older the twins get the closer the bond. Many times girl twins get pregnant or marry very close to each other.

Corey, you have found yourself a good man! He’s all about accepting family just as they are and you have his too. That is the first step to a lasting relationship and even more so in a marriage. People think marriage is just between the couple, but it’s not, it’s so much more. It’s two families combining together as extended family. If one of the couple can’t accept the others family, then there will always be tension and eventually make the marriage reunion weak, or worse. I enjoyed the conversation from you both and the bloopers are always humorous. Thank y’all for sharing!

I am an only child, and so is my twelve year old daughter. So I have no idea what it's like to have siblings but my mother, daughter, & myself always joke that no men were needed in our making because we look like carbon copies of each other with different hairstyles. We can't even tell photos of ourselves apart as toddlers if it weren't for the age of the photo paper. We have always gotten commentary about how similar we look. And I too remember the first time I saw a mother and daughter that looked as similar as we do, and I couldn't get over it. Because when it's you it can be really hard to see just how similar you are but when it's someone else it can be so shocking.

I, recently found your channel and your mother's...enjoying watching both of them. I did not realize you and Katie were twins. You definitely look like sisters, just didn't realize you were twins. My husband has twin girls from his first marriage. They do not look like twins at all, nor do they act like twins. The older twin is quite reserved, quiet, likes to keep to herself. She has dark brown hair and a little darker complexion than her twin. The younger twin is out going, has blondish hair that is super curly. She is a school teacher, graduated from a Christian college and has her Master's in Education. The older one stayed home and got a job. She has had several jobs all in the financial area. The company she worked for went out of business and she decided to go to a business college and got a certification in Accounting. They are not close at all.

I have cousins on my mom's side who are identical twins. They are too much alike, to the point that the younger and more introverted one kept switching his activities and interests on purpose just to be different from his brother. They both ended up becoming airline pilots anyway 😆 I can't remember which of them married first, I think it was the younger, but whichever one it was, he was married when the other twin got engaged. One day the engaged twin was at the bank with his fiancee to open their joint household account. This was shortly before the wedding. They were holding hands and being lovey-dovey waiting in line, and this woman behind them jabbed him in the back "accidentally." She glared at him and "ahem" coughed a lot. He just thought she was crazy. Later come to find out that woman went straight to the other twin's wife to tell her her husband was cheating on her 🤣 And their kids called both twins "Daddy One and Daddy Two," from the time they could talk 🤣

Corie, you have the same gift as your mom for narrating. I enjoy listening to you! I have twin daughters. One of the most interesting comment we would get is are they identical? One of my daughters has very dark hair and my other daughter has light blond hair and they look very different. I used to say yes they are. I didn’t want to take their joy of thinking they encountered identical twins away and I did not want them to feel bad. They developed into polar opposites. One of my daughters earned four degrees, one of which is a doctorate in microbiology and the other is a very talented musician and very artsy. The one thing they have in common is they are very determined to go after what they want. 🌲🇨🇦

As a twin myself, we used to hate getting the same question asked all the time..."What is it like being a twin?' We came up with the reply, "What's it like not being a twin?" Actually, there are times where you just want to be a regular person but when you are together, you always get noticed. As you get older it can be more fun. Me and my twin brother will get asked if we are twins and whichever one of us gets to answer first might say, oh, no we are not twins HE (my brother) is my Dad.

As a twin, my brother and I used to look a lot more alike when we were younger so people confusing us doesn't happen anymore really. That said, with people you already know confusing you, I think people tend to lump known quantities together. You might do so with two non twin siblings who act the same for example. "Those are those Holloway girls" or something. When we were in high school people even had nicknames for us which were Tackett1 and Tackett2, and our close friends developed an in joke with us that we were actually the same person pretending to be two people, which both of those I think reflect that things that are similar enough tend to get lumped together, including twins :D I enjoyed your first bit talking about the bond of twins. It really is special and I think it's hard for people who haven't experienced it to understand how close you become. You're right though about how even twins find other twins fascinatingly similar looking. We don't really think about how it looks to other people. Actually, fun anecdote: when I was in third grade my brother and I were walking in the school hallway and a kid came up and asked if we ever wake up and think we're the other person. Confused, I just pointed to a random person and said do you ever wake up and think you're them? They didn't get it and were very confused haha. Regarding having your own language: that happened with my brother and I as well and we ended up having to go to speech therapy because we kept reinforcing incorrect pronunciations with each other.

Enjoyed this driving in the South video! It’s very evident that you and Katie are VERY close! But Austin described the difference between you and Katie perfectly, we all see that to that you are more reserved and soft spoken while Katie is more outspoken and less reserved as far as speaking what she’s thinking and both are very good traits to have!! In some of y’all’s videos when y’all were younger it’s very hard to tell y’all apart, but now that y’all have gotten older and since we have met you guys in person TWICE it’s easy to tell you guys apart. Btw it’s true when you marry a person, you basically marry the persons whole family or it should be that way if you are marrying the RIGHT person, and I definitely feel like you guys are and are SOULMATES!!!!! GOD BLESS YALL 🙏🏻😇🙏🏻😇🙏🏻😇🙏🏻😇

Ok. You have to hear this. While you were talking, I started thinking about my sister. Then, my phone rang and it was her. This kind of stuff happens to us all the time and it always has. We are less than 2 years apart and we have two more older sisters. We also fought and we also loved each other. I have never said no to her for anything than I know of. We are alike but different. We have a “twin” bond and we have realized it most of our lives and wouldn’t change it. Love her! Thank you for sharing Austin with us.

Twin sisters were married to twin brothers in our community. I could tell them all apart if they were standing together. Their children all looked very much alike. I love that you have had a security blanket, Corrie. My niece and nephew are twins. (I can tell them apart🤣🤣🤣) They have always been close and are still, even though they live hours apart. You and Austin can do a follow up video a year after your wedding about being married to a twin.😉 You’re going to miss each (you twins) other more than you can imagine.

Love hearing about your Mom having twins and how you and Katie were growing up! I am a mother of twins also, but I had a great pregnancy, so no need for ultra sounds, so because of that I didn't know I was pregnant with twins until I delivered them, such and exciting time. I had a boy and girl, they are 32 now. Like you two they were close and also fight like brother and sisters too, but if one got in trouble the other was always there to console them and now that they are grown I see a lot of similarities in decorating their homes and how much they are still alike apart. Love your channel and your Mother's! Grew up hearing a lot of your Appalachian phrases and still use them myself today. And the way your mother cooks brings all my childhood memories of how my Granny, Grandmother, Aunts and Mother cooked growing up. God bless all of you and I am so glad I find your channels!!

She passed away in 2020 and I feel like a part of me is missing. When anything good or bad happens in my life, she is the first person I want to call. My husband had to accept this and he loved her very much too. She had one grandson and we have 3 grandchildren. It was so natural to share our grandchildren with her. I am Grandma and she was their Nana. She was such a kind, giving and sweet person. I always said she looked after me from the beginning. I was really close to my sisters and mom. None of us were twins and my oldest sister was universally loved by all of us like a favorite but we weren't jealous about it I believe because she was our little momma since Mom was divorced and working all the time. I've seen families that were always in discord and feel God blessed us. When we married our hubbies gained another family and we gained a lot of cousins. Most are all gone now but not forgotten.
