In 2012, my dad bought my mom this album on cd for her birthday, 12 years later and we still play it on our roadtrips to the beach. Every song on this album will make me think of those beach trips with my family

This song is one of the best Maroon 5 ever produced.

This song is COMPLETELY underrated in the Maroon 5 album "Hands All Over". My other favorite underrated song in the album is "How" BEST ALBUM EVER

this song is so underrated it makes me sad.

this song is so beautiful, and together with the video, it really draws my heartstrings. I wish that the radio played more of M5's songs like Runaway, so more people would get to know this side of Maroon 5, a deeper, more emotional side instead of just the poppy played songs on the radio, which have made many misjudge M5. I have loved, love, and will always love Maroon 5, regardless of their stylistic changes, which just proves how flexible and talented the band is.

12 years or so and here i am again listening to this song like it's my first time but know all the lyrics. oh god, don't ever let me forget about this masterpiece ever again.

This song expresses exactly what happened to me two years ago. We broke up on a Monday morning. It didn't get to me until Wednesday exactly 4 a.m, when I realized what had actually happened. At that moment I knew what I wanted to say, so I messaged her. I also realized that maybe the break up was the best thing to do, but some things needed to be said and sorted out first. And the frustration that she may not respond to my message, not knowing if she had moved on for good or not. I looked at our memories not knowing what I would do to them, until I returned them back to her with a letter explaining that those memories were to painful to bare and she would know better on what to do with them then me. And life goes on...

Maroon 5 is one of the best innovators, a band that always evolves and explores, which what made me love them. Got me captivated since young. Pretty sad that some sounds gets more appreciated, and some are left underappreciated like this gem here. It's almost been a hobby to search for obscure or less popular songs bcs of maroon 5, since I found more of their songs than what's popular and enjoyed them greatly, runaway as one of the earliest example. Thank you Maroon 5, hands down the best creator out there

This video is shot in the beautiful clifts of moher in co clare ireland, a great place to visit if you're ever in the emerald isle.

I just loved this song and video! I perfectly felt the freedom this video shows, the guy with with board and the waves, nothing else. That beautiful landscape, the sea and the mountains... just very very cool!

I just heard the chorus in a bench store and tried guessing that the title might be runaway,, and back at home i tried to research it and after listening to the song completely,, it ended up being my favourite song :-)
