Maroon 5 - Memories ( Tribute to Kobe Bryant )
Музыка
KOBE BEAN BRYANT was an American professional basketball player. As a shooting guard, Bryant entered the National Basketball Association (NBA) directly from high school, and played his entire 20-season professional career in the league with the Los Angeles Lakers. Bryant won many accolades: five NBA championships, 18-time All-Star, 15-time member of the All-NBA Team, 12-time member of the All-Defensive Team, 2008 NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP), two-time NBA Finals MVP winner. Widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, he led the NBA in scoring during two seasons, ranks fourth on the league's all-time regular season scoring and all-time postseason scoring lists.
GIANNA MARIA ONORE BRYANT also referred to as "Gigi", was an American middle school basketball player that attended Harbor Day School in Newport Beach, California. Born in Los Angeles, California to Vanessa and Kobe Bryant, Gianna was raised with her older sister Natalia and two younger sisters, Bianka and Capri. Her father, Kobe, was the reason she started playing basketball. Gianna played basketball for the Mamba Sports Academy, where she was coached by Kobe until their tragic death. She played on the competitive team with the club at the U-10 through U-15 levels. Gianna wanted to play college basketball at the power house University of Connecticut, she reguarly attended UConn, WNBA, and Lakers games with Kobe. She had a very close relationship with her father Kobe as she was usually always by her father's side. Kobe would talk about Gianna saying how she was female version of him.

Kobe didn't change just Basketball, he changed the world. He left an impact, his void will never be filled in the hearts of millions. I haven't cried over anything else in my life, and I never talked to him. I never met him. But his death hit me hard. I'm just glad I got to watch him and see the greatness I witnessed while he was here. RIP Kobe. You'll never be forgotten.

Let’s be honest, we never expected him to be gone anytime soon.
Still missing Kobe... World ain't been the same since.
*The saddest part of life is when that* *person that gave you the best memories* *becomes a memory!*
Dear Kobe, I watched you grow up as I grew up. I fell in love with your game in the 2000 Finals when Shaq fouled out and you took over the game. You did the "calm down, I got this motion" and I was in awe. Seeing you do that made me remember seeing Jordan hit the buzzer beater in game 1 of the 97 Finals and also take over game 6 of the 98 Finals. The calm was expected out of him in those moments, but your's wasn't expected at the time. Jalen Rose intentionally injured your ankle a few days before and that was apart of your revenge. But that moment in June of 2000 was the time I can pin point my love for your game. However my love for you as person came much later. It started when you were accused of rape and the drama that surrounded all of that. The press conference where you held Vanessa's hand while admitting adultery spoke volumes to me. My Dad cheated on my Mom but took the coward's way out and divorced her. You fought for you marriage. I remember the huge pink diamond ring you got her shortly afterwards and people were making fun of you. But as a child of divorce I knew it was much more than an "I'm sorry". It was a rededication and re-commitment that I had wished my Dad would've done. You're were the 1st celebrity that I was able to separate the person and the performance from, and that trial and the response after was the beginning. Around the same time the fueded with your offseason work ethic and Shaq's offseason rest developed and boiled over. Many people said the Lakers should've chose to keep Shaq instead of you. And that narrative was amplified after Shaq won with D-Wade and you struggled to make the playoffs. People doubted if you could win without Shaq and that fueled you more. All the while I was rooting for you as I became a man through my college years. Then you gave me a great birthday present that I cherish to this day. 81 points. Although it was the night before, when I woke up thankful God blessed me with 19 years, the reactions all day to your accomplishment filled the day. I enjoyed it so much! And then the Pau trade happened a few years later and the back to back wins in 3 straight trips to the finals was the pinnacle to your career for me. But then I started hearing interviews from you and your intellect came flowing out. You spoke of your routine of getting up early, being consistent and giving your all. You spoke of being content with retirement even though you loved the game so much because you did everything in your power to be the best you could be. That inspires me to do the same. But you didn't just do that with basketball, you did that with being a family man, businessman and friend. Lamar Odom, Matt Barnes, Pau Gasol, Derek Fisher and others speak glowingly of how great of a friend you were to them and their families. There are legendary stories of you from other greats of you working out constantly and precisely. I had always known your background of being fluent in multiple languages and growing up overseas. What I learned that made me appreciate you as a person more was that you were a looner and didn't get along with many of your teammates early on because of the age and cultural differences. But everyone always praised your work ethic. That also magnified the differences you had with teammates that didn't work anywhere near as hard as you did. That Finals game you took over was proof to teammates that didn't like or believe in you. That 81 point game was tribute to your grandfather's birthday and the only game your grandma experienced live. Your devotion to Vanessa and saving your marriage meant even more to me when I found out your parents basically disowned you for not getting married to a black woman. You could've buckled under their pressure as a 21 year old and married someone else but you're your own man and didn't. Your winning an Oscar less than 2 years after retiring was a testament to that devotion to a new craft. Your coaching GiGi's team and bonding with her teammates and their parents was more proof of you giving your all to something. I struggle with being consistent in many areas of life so you inspire me work harder and smarter. Thank you. I never saw you play in person, never interacted with you at all. But man believe me when I say you changed my life. I know I'm one of many that feel that way. #MambaMentality

I was fortunate enough to meet Kobe back in 1999. He actually spoke to my mom more because she is fluent in Italian. I had his autograph but someone took it from me years ago... this hits me hard because I met him, I’m also a girl dad, and I’ve lost a spouse at 31. God bless everyone affected by this.
One year later and still can’t believe it😔🥺😢
Glad to see this isolated video. I really enjoyed this tribute. Never even heard this song before this video on Monday. Thought it was a perfect song and great video edit

Marc M the hate is unnecessary you’re obviously not in a good place and I’m sorry, but don’t go spreading negativity especially to a video as wholesome as this..
Damn Kobe, I might be the most average of all the fans in the world but I still can't get over you and couple of your friends passing away, I always saw you as invincible, a hero and expected that you would come out whatever setback you face in life, slow start as a rookie, the failures and defeats, that rape case, those injuries, you turned all those things around and you have lived your life as the hero you're supposed to be, you held your head up and never faltheredm Maybe 10 years would pass, I'll start my own family and would live a new life and I'll still be crying whenever I hear your name. I'll do my best to live honoring you and would always stay true to the mamba mentality. You're always going to be my hero.

RIP TO THE BLACK MAMBA AND GIGI BRYANT, plus the 7 other victims, FLY HIGH ANGELS 🙏🏻🙏🏻🕊🕊
My favorite part at 2:11. Magic and Kobe hugging it out….showing so much joy on their faces. Beautiful moment!!
“Time heals all wounds” not this one you just learn to deal with it! #MambaForever 💜💛♾
This video still makes me cry. He was such a legend not only on the court but off it, too. He inspired so many people that they could do anything and there was no bad in the world while watching him. He was such a role model to kids and Kobe was such a great dad to his girls. Even tho i’ve never met the guy, i still feel a little bit of my childhood died. RIP Kobe and GiGi 😭🙏🕊
4 months later, i still can’t process his death along with the 7 others... it was too soon it’s hard for me and my family 💔 i pray for vannessa and the kids that they stay strong wow i’m just in shock 💔 my heart has never been this hurt in so long

Those quotes will be one of the biggest memories from kobe and gigi😭💔
This video was so beautiful...yet so painful...it’s been 4 whole months already, & I still can’t believe that they’re gone, nor do I want to believe it. It’s almost like god knew they were too good for our world so he had to take them from us. We love you Gigi! We love you Kobe! Rip to the two most amazing angels this world has ever seen. Gone but never forgotten...
Lakers fans and Kobe fans love him not just because he was a great basketball player but also because he had flaws just like everyone on this planet but what set him apart from just about everyone was his work ethic and his determination to be the very best he could be. The drive to out work anyone and give his very best every day. He inspired me as a child growing up wanting to follow his foot steps and now as a man he motivates me to be a better husband and a better father. Kobe Bryant is a true Legend he is bigger than just basketball. The mamba mentality was not just a basketball thing but a mindset in every day life that we should attack our days like if it’s our last.. and to be a better version of you every single day. #KoBe24/8 #gigi2
Man this hits me hard not just because of kobe but because of the memories I carry with me of everyone I lost this year alone...
