In the Philippines, there are 2 things you can find absolutely everywhere, every village, every places: 1. Basketball court 2. Karaoke. Singing is a totally common and normal activity at any age for family and friends

My absolute favourite after all these years, too! Completely amazing from the audition to the finale and beyond.

There is such a crisp clarity to her tone- so so so beautiful.

As we say goodbye to 2016, I thought I would return to this performance to see if it moves me as much today as it did when I first viewed it in early 2015 and... It does... And, actually, even more so as I have had the privilege to meet Marlisa and her mom, dad and brother (in the US prior to Super Bowl 50 and, again, in Sydney, earlier this fall when she performed there with Ronan Keating) and I just would like everyone viewing this to know that while this young lady is simply an amazingly talented singer she is an even BETTER person. In my 65 years on this planet (and 30+ years producing American broadcasts) I have never met a more noble family... Ever... I hope all of you will help her achieve her goal in attaining the (commercial) international success she deserves (and has earned)... Hopefully, with your support, 2017 will be Marlisa's best year yet!!!!

I've heard of the beatles but haven't bothered listening to any of their songs, until Marlisa sung this! I'm so in love with your voice! It's FLAWLESS! I mean you don't even need to or have to TRY! Your voice is so beautiful and natural and that is what makes you unique! I'm glad you won X Factor because you deserved to!

Been watching this performance since she won but still can’t get over it! For me the best version ever! This reminds me of my childhood in the province of Cebu Philippines singing this song popularized by the Beatles and little bit nostalgic remembering those times which never come again!❤️🇵🇭

You know when a singer is truly amazing when the judges do not get up from their chairs for 12 seconds after a song is finished. WOW !!!!! a perfect 10 for me.

Such a flawless voice! Marlisa makes me wish I had bothered to watch The X Factor last year. No one is this good this year!

I'm always watching to Marlisa Punzalan journey

The first time watching this, gotta fight back tears from my eyes. I never expected it. That was so heartfelt. I can't get enough of it.

I've come back to watching this audition from Marlissa after seeing another one of her professional videos. This is the best rendition of Yesterday I've ever heard including from the Beatles. She made her own. I love her voice. So beautiful. I'm so glad she's done well. She really deserves every accolade.

I watched this hundred times, but i still want to watched again and again! Your my idol ever since your first edition, whose still here 2020? We love u Marlissa keep it up!!

Obviously, I am bit late with my comment, but I just had to comment. When she started this song, I was thinking, what can she possibly do with an old Beatles ballad that will impress everyone? Then, OMG, she just took it to another level! Her voice is so sweet ... the type that just melts your heart listening to it. She's a great singer. I can see why she won X-Factor Australia 2014.

Honestly I think of all the Filipinas I've seen audition for talent/singing shows. Marlisa's audition is one of the best in my opinion. Her voice and song choice were beautiful, unique and has just stood out over so many others.

People who really put thumbs down are the jealousy, competitors, and crazy once because she deserves everything this lady. She is really young and committed and better still as the judge said, " she is singing from the heart and amazing latent " she is lovely. And I am so happy she won the competition

So humble, timid, but yet delivered a masterpiece..indeed!

Whoa! A diamond in the rough. She is only 14 and how old is Dean? They are both so great but Marlisa is still so young and she will grow. Pay it forward Marlisa. You have at least one fan in me.

Man. For a 14-year old, what an absolute control over the notes! Very rare you see people with a gift like this. Being raised in a musical family, I get this. Being in control and absolutely losing yourself with the emotion the song carries is a difficult thing to accomplish. So for that.. lots of ups for this kid. She's awesome. I don't care what other people will say after this. I know it when I see talent. It gives me chills, and it makes me rape the replay button.
