Brilliant song in an excellent Hitchcock film, ironically and wittily explaining why she didn't kill the guy herself! (You have to see the film). The acting is excellent all round and this scene with Marlene in that fabulous negligee is the cherry on top!

Plastic surgery was pretty primitive back then; Marlene had to rely more on very careful lighting when she was on camera.

Women these days so don't make much of an effort to look attractive. You go to functions and theatre etc and it appears ladies don't wish to look appealing anylonger.

Well, it is very tiring. Women back then would sustain such a lifestyle with draining exercise and even drugs, because they were not often included in the public space if they were not appealing to the eye, exploited
