@DrunkenWiggle Plays the scene is created so that it changes based on public opinion. They lower their guns in every option (well, except nuke) but what happens after that depends completely upon public opinion. If Marcus sings or kisses North but still has low public opinion, the solider will still shoot him, and if he sacrifices but has high public opinion the soldiers won't shoot.

I loved the singing, I really did, but Marcus kissing North is the most human thing he could've done. Showing pure human emotion in the face of death is the best outcome, to me. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I agree and that’s why that works as well, but I would argue that singing is definitely a human thing that typical robots wouldn’t do in addition to the kiss. The thing to keep in mind is that the kiss option is locked for most players at this point as you have to end up doing a pretty peaceful route (which North doesn’t like) but still end with North being positive towards you. So yes, it’s the right option, but it’s often blocked (similar to how Conor becoming deviant is the better option, but some players don’t have the instability to do it).

i appreciate the kiss and how it shows the humans the emotions androids can experience... but the relationship with north feels so forced, especially in a peaceful playthrough. you disagree on everything possible and north still tries to make moves, it just feels so awkward. i had the singing ending, and i thought it was beautiful, but markus sacrificing himself felt so deep... it makes me so sad how they just open fire after watching markus burst himself into flames for his people

While kissing would portray real human emotions and may be impactful I believe singing is much more powerful. From the beginning of the game Markus has encountered music in the piano he played, to the guitarist in the plaza. Music is has always been thought to correlate with soul and then singing shows that they have that. Or maybe I’m just crazy who knows lol

@I AM BINOD That doesn't mean it isn't a gospel song :) I'm solely talking about the style, not if it's solely been sung in church. It very much today is labeled as a gospel (or maybe even black gospel? That I'm not so sure about) song and it very much has that style.

Personally i feel the kissing is more appropriate theatrically (movie). Considering its the most humane thing to do when in love and that person is next to you. And the singing feels more accurate historically because it makes me think of how slaves would sing out their soul to ease the pain of their enslavement. I hadnt done the sacrifice though so im unsure about it. But by script like in book, sounds like a moving ending.

I don’t have PS4 so what I do is to just watch all their stories in youtube and possible outcomes depending on choice. The game story is truly amazing. Thank you for taking your time showing all this to us. :)

I don’t see where there’s adult content in this game... some violent scenes yes, but violence isn’t always traumatizing, plus it carries an important message about situations today’s kids might be experiencing in the future... I’d totally recommend it to a kid starting at 10yo

The moment you recognize Pewdiepie had a 1/3 chance of getting the bad choice, and he did.

The kiss makes it seem like its the end so you kiss your loved one and ready for death. That's why its so fitting and cute. Also, a heart?

The sacrifice self brought the most emotion out of me. Just what markus (who is my favourite character) says plus the music in the back make it heartbreaking when it doesn't work

whutzat I can understand the romance part but he was dumb to not select sing ,since it was suggested earlier in the story by markus's owner(and mind you pewds is very good in games he even sometimes predict what is about to happen). Anyways pewds was really rushing the game he even mentioned it ,so maybe he didnt try idk.

I love how North joins in at the "fight on".

While the song is beautiful, I always found the kids with North to be more memorable. Why? Because in the game, when they’re cornered, they believe that that’s their last moment alive. If I was going to die, I’d much rather share a last moment of happiness without my loved one, instead of just singing some cool song. It really shows that androids aren’t just crazy robots that defied against their code and just want to end human civilization. It shows that they have emotions like humans, fear like humans, and most importantly, loved ones like humans. But that’s just my opinion-

Mad respects to this game for giving us an option to live without having to be romantic to North. I’m down for the relationship aspect of it, but not having the sing option would basically be saying “if you don’t like this bland character we forced on you, you don’t get to live ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ “

Shows they just want to be free, the soldiers still point their guns and the president doesn’t do anything But if I press kiss north While the other androids just stand there doing nothing The soldiers put their guns down straight away and the president tells them to stop.? (Straight away.) The fact what they might die because they sung their heart out? But if Markus kisses north, no beautiful speech no song no nothing androids standing there doing nothing but they survive.
