Jane - I’m in the same position as you , physically not doing the trips anymore, but loving the trip talks and grands, I find Helen and her personality just always make me smile. Ginny

Loving watching your holiday prep, half the enjoyment of a holiday is the anticipation I find. I'm usually packed to capacity and then end up wearing 3 things! Been to Bali and live in NZ (ex Londoner) my advice would be to stick to cotton and avoid man made materials, way too hot once you're out of an air conditioned environment. Have a few thin cotton dresses that "skim rather than hug". Also - leave some room for shopping you'll probably end up buying a few sun dresses in Bali that you live in!

Hi Helen, your upcoming holiday sounds fab, I always think the prep for it is so exciting. We are doing a big holiday later in the year, I can’t wait! We are flying to Singapore for three days, then on to Sydney for two nights before we set off on a cruise up the east coast of Australia and then back to Sydney before we set off to New Zealand for a couple of weeks. This is our once in a lifetime retirement holiday. I’ve loved seeing all your holiday clothes xx

Not sure about the white beach trousers, maybe in another bright colour? The white pockets are obvious and eye catching, which is a bugbear of mine! I just love your hauls and you always make me smile with your very dry sense of humour I thought the black dress was very flattering and slimming. You looked good in all of them. You seem to be able to wear a lot of different colours and they all suit you. Seeing you wear them is so helpful.

Holiday sounds amazing, regarding M&S trousers I now have to buy extra/short petite now because they are always to long. I live near Champneys and have heard awful problems with them we use Ragdale Hall much better. Loved the vlog.❤️❤️❤️

Loved hearing about your cruise - we too are in the process of trying to find the perfect ship/destinations. It’s a mine field. M&S really need to get their act together. Your right their sizing/clothing lengths are shocking. Have to agree with you the blue gingham dress is lovely and would look fab longer. I think I may seek it out next time I venture to M&S. I’m in Australia and used to cruising around here, because it’s cheap! Take fine cotton, loose fitting for everyday, black skirt and several pretty tops for formals, a good cardy the plane and aggressive air con and some clothes pegs for in cabin laundry cos ships laundries are expensive. Asia cruise will be lovely. When we retired we booked a p&o cruise for 14 weeks which was all of Asia. Southampton to Southampton. Wonderful memories Make the most of it while you can. Life’s too short.

Hi Helen. What an absolute joy you are to watch, the number of time's you go off on a little tangent does make me smile, then I suddenly realise I do exactly the same. Not sure what to say about the m & s sizes, apart from the fact they are driving me insane. You could always rely on m & s sizes year's ago, but the bottom half sizes seem a size smaller than the label. But as always you looked fab in everything, really looking forward to the next one xx

Hi Helen, Usually I wear a short trouser length (5' 4") but found I needed a long in some of the M&S 'soft style' trousers. The black dress looks fab on you. I prefer a V neck too, otherwise I can appear matronly. Thank you for all you do.

Hello 👋 love the canvas, looking very regal, for a split second i thought it was Helen Mirren! My favs were white chinos, gingham dress. Loved the pattern on ditsy floral dress but not the shape or sleeves. My one and only cruise ended with me in sick bay 🤮 most of the holiday. I'm not a good traveller. Great video, as always Helen. Cruise sounds amazing, I’m very envious. Loved the gingham dress so going to check that out for me (oops……..again). Not keen on the wide legged white trousers. Material so thin that the pockets really stood out but of course you wouldn’t see them with a long top.

Love the portrait Helen! 😀 I really liked the black dress and the blue gingham one. I thought the pink and white striped shirt looked lovely too. I don't know what's going on with M&S trouser lengths either and their sizes in general are inconsistent. I don't wear heels so it's so difficult finding the right leg length. Well done on resolving the Champneys issue, they certainly made it hard work 👏

Fun! My favourites on you were the pink striped blouse, the blue jeans (very flattering) and the first floral jacquard dress. The white chinos did not fit or flatter you at all, IMHO. But the structured linen pants did, they just need to be shortened a bit. Most of us need alterations for the right fit. Have fun on your trip which sounds amazing!

Hi Helen, I have to mention the excessive amount of adverts in this video, 12 is a lot! I recall another you tuber was able to do something about it on her channel but no idea what. Just thought I’d mention it. The blue gingham dress was my favourite, the white wide leg trousers looked quite a thin material, the pockets were really obvious, but I guess for the beach they would be ok. Hi Helen, I liked the white chinos on you and the gingham dress. I'd go longer but not smaller as this seems to fit you perfectly on the shoulders. Also the countries you are going to are very humid so you don't want to be restricted. Enjoy your holiday.

Hi Helen. I love the gingham but most of the rest needs to go back. I’m not keen on black in the summer but you are correct about the trouser sizing. I wear a size 14 in sienna jeans and have short but the last 2 pairs I have had to take up. The quality of the material has definitely gone down in m and s. Same we can’t say the same about the prices 😂😂

We once stayed at the Le Manoir, Raymond Blancs beautiful hotel in Oxfordshire. It was almost perfect apart from a couple of very slight disappointments. One was being told that they greet you in the car park & then park your car for you. This never happened for us …silly I know, but it left me feeling disappointed. On check out they asked if everything was to our satisfaction..I laughingly joked about my disappointment at the start of our trip. Two days later we received a beautiful bottle of champagne and a lovely card from them. Now THAT is how to get a customer to return. xx

You will have a lovely time on Queen Elizabeth. You certainly have some lovely things to take. I agree the dresses are mostly over priced this year at M and S. Love the gingham dress. A bit different. I have tried several dresses on and will wait if they come in the sale. I did that in the Autumn then knew what to look out for in the sale .

The canvas portrait is lovely,, the first white pants look good,,the second one,in my humble opinion, looked to big but for a handy summer look they would work..the blue gingham really look good on you.
