Marco was waxing poetic in his own way and a bit philisophical. Be it metaphorically, literally, historically, biblically, etc.; there are a lot of references to stones of various sizes being a handicap, a trap, a punishment, a marker, a statement, and soforth. Yet the stone itself feels nothing for its use or abuse to the benefit or detriment of others. They just exist.

Speaking of "Northern Kings", have you heard any of their songs? Northern Kings is a group of four great male finnish metal singers(including Marco) that have done metal cover songs of some really famous songs like Brothers In Arms from Dire Straits, Take On Me from A-ha and We Don't Need Another Hero from Bonnie Tyler. They made 1 album about ten years ago, and it's pretty great.

In some ways it's almost like losing Tarja all over again. How will they ever move forward without such a great male vocalist? I mean, what drew me to Nightwish in the first place wasn't Tarja, it was the back and forth Tarja & Marco had together. Marco had some incredible songs he carried during the Annette years. Then with Floor, he had someone worthy of Tarja's spot to work with again, and now he's gone.

Whether Marco stood back intentionally, or Tuomas has a new Troy to play with (sorry, pun *was* intentional) or what, who knows and it doesn't matter, all things are done. All things pass :(

My favorite musician. Love his voice and how he uses it. And I love his pure masculinity without tattoos and piercings. He doesn't need any frills, except his wonderful head of hair and beard 🙃😉

Few days ago I was listening to one of the top 100 charts and started praying for some quality music without autotune and swearing and pornogrphic visuals and all that pathetic exuses for music. The music gods have answered my call! 🙏
