The former Finnish rally driver and WRC-champion Markku Alén gave a trial run for Patria’s 6x6 vehicle for the TV-program Teknavi. The program was filmed at Parolannummi brigade area, where the former World Champion was offered new experiences with the vehicle. Patria’s goal is to share the top-notch qualities of the Patria 6X6 armored modular vehicle with the public such as the chassis performance, torque output, maneuverability performance in the challenging terrain and product development. They also clearly understood that this vehicle is not a new Pasi as an XA185 vehicle was used as a comparison in the filming. Enjoy the show!

In modern warfare, the need for large tactical troop transportation is still existing. Patria 6x6 vehicle is built on the heritage of legendary Patria XA series as well as on the success of Patria AMV 8x8 that have become an iconic part of the various peacekeeping and crises management missions and transporting soldiers. High payload capability ensures that with the protection level STANAG level 4 (optional), there is enough payload for various vehicle variants and equipment. Patria 6x6’s modular design allows a wide variety of specific configurations for diverse missions. High level of protection, unique mobility and the latest technology bring Patria 6x6 to deliver state-of-the-art AMV capabilities to face the highest demands.
Mobility
Robust and fully independent suspension, which is similar to Patria AMVXP, together with high performance engine ensures unforeseen mobility and crew comfort in the 6x6 category. Patria 6x6 carries up to 10 dismounts plus a crew of two, driver and commander, in the front cabin, or 8-9 dismounts and a crew of three, driver, commander and gunner; all their equipment being hosted inside the protected hull, and equipment being based on a 72-hour mission requirement. The vehicle has mobility optimised with continuous all-wheel drive and steering by front two axles. Amphibious capability for water crossing and amphibious landing operations is available as an option.
Affordable
Originally, Patria 6x6 was designed for troop transport, which allowed Patria to work on a dedicated target that was based on the use of the vehicle. This has allowed to provide a high reliability and affordable armoured wheeled vehicle. The vehicle is cost-effective in addition to low through-life costs. With a truck-like user interface, it makes the vehicle simple to operate, maintain and repair. Our local manufacturing concept is possible also for Patria 6x6.
