Mark literally said: No one gets away with anything *if I'm actually paying attention*. He wasn't paying attention to the vent because he was checking his map, and then saw the body, so he focused on reporting it. And Ethan's character was there for only a split second. Some people just seem to have a weird obsession with constantly trying to prove that Mark is actually dumb, and to prove him wrong, even when he's just joking about something.

One of the funniest circumstances ever, especially when Mark was pretty new, haha Great job animating it!

Mark is very charismatic though. Besides, fact that the guy killed had been sussing Jack the entire game didn't help Jack's defence, nor did that everyone underestimated that Mark was capable of killing twice in a round.
