Pretty sweet Suburban. It’s impressive that he got it to fit in there and even more than he drove it quite a bit. That would definitely be worth a body and or frame swap. That 700R4 was short lived behind the mighty 6.2L, couldn’t have been happy behind that Detroit. Hopefully that makes it up to Onaway, do some drag racing against the Duramax Crew. Thanks for the Videos, Wayne.

Hey, I have one of these too, but mine's a 99. Mind that these don't have engine shutoff switches if your oil goes low, and besides that, the doggone oil lines are held on with a C Clip. It was recommended to me to switch the oil cooler and oil cooler lines out for something with compression fittings, so I did that for mine. There's a whole heap of info of these over at the DieselPlace forum, if you feel like heading over there. Oh, and I had to take the fuel tank off mine once, and it was more or less "glued" into position even without the metal tank straps holding it up. I had to put a strap over the top of it, then put the strap underneath a car jack with a piece of wood on the top of it to push against the tank, and then I extended the jack. That worked.

Really Awesome!!! I wish GM had this as a choice from the factory. First of all, flex plates are special "spring" grade hardened steel, so I don't believe regular 1/8 inch will work. Maybe thicker will hold up? I don't know. On the gauges, and that would include the clocks in these mid 90's vehicles, they are actually vacuum fluorescent tubes (not leds). I miss seeing them in instrument clusters. Thanks guy's for taking on this project! I can't wait to hear the Jakes!
