I think its important to take your own style and brand into account! If you don't love octos and don't enjoy making them, then don't! Sure, they tend to be a popular market item, but (at least in my opinion), its not worth the money made if I don't like creating them! To each their own, just throwing in my two cents as another small business lol

Totally agree. Me personally I don't crochet items like octos or classic Leggy frogies. Every single crochet creator does them, and I feel that makes it lose the magic of buying unic handmade items from a customer perspective. When it comes to frogs and bees, I use different patterns (with different details and shapes) and people loves them since they're different.

I love how long your content is! A lot of creators are afraid of making videos over 30 mins because of “the algorithm” but I am one of those who LOVES longer-form content. ❤ Subscribed

My favorite pattern to make as far as octos are concerned is the one by stitch sister co. Really cute outcome, fun to make also. I'm the same as far as wanting to enjoy the process of making, I cannot if I'm bored or not feeling the pattern.

Fantastic day go you, samba is a dream to make I used bernat ashen titanium its a grey variegated love its a sleepy animal so child friendly.. I find all from jade octo quick and easy about 15 mins hope that helps❤

For my octos, I do a ball then c 20 and do 3 DC in each stitch (skipping the first 2, and thy always turn out adorable. But if it's not something you love, don't do it!

I use stitchinwithabby Octo, I charge $10 for them though. I do use allfromjades for my $5 octos but I do FLO bobble then work in the blo for the next round instead of reattaching. You could easily sub a chain out tentacles for the bobbles im sure. Been enjoying your channel. I felt the same way when I hit 500 so fast 😂

The full moon thing is true. I notice it with how people act in my town, and if you ask anyone who works anywhere in the medical field, like my friend who is an EMT, they will all tell you the same thing.

The funniest part of it all is that my two biggest MMM snugglers have both gone to teens. One was the OG Dino and it was a special request from my daughter who was stunned when she saw the smaller version I made for my son. She sleeps with it every night. The other was the big size maven monster and it was bought by a teen at my market with her own money for 70$ 🥹🥹🥹

@@SweetBeansCrochet for sure. They were the biggest size in MMM though tbf. So if you ever get the itch to make a really big one then market it to the tweens and teens maybe.

I was like you too, couldnt find an octo pattern that i can make quick and sell cheap until i found allfromjade Squishy octo pattern, i can make them in less then 20 minutes, super quick to whip up and kids loves them! Edit: oh opps got up to 34 mins to where you said you dont like bobbles lolol

Good luck at your market! I had my eye doctor write down my prescription, and I went online to Firmoo.com ! They have tons of frames and it’s always on sale. You plug in your prescription and they send it to you pretty quickly.💗

I’m gonna be honest when I first started crocheting it took me three days to finish one bunny pattern!!! But I know some people who pick up crochet and are you able to be quick with the hook right away! Personally, it took me a while to be able to be comfortable crocheting faster without mistakes. You’ve plenty of time to make your mom some beautiful pieces before Mother’s Day☺️

Love your videos. My goal by the end of the year is to have a KZread channel. Any advice to someone who wants to start their own channel?

Hi! I weigh the yarn that I use and calculate how much each gram cost me to figure out how much each plushy cost in yarn. I can also weigh the poly I use and determine how much the safety eyes cost. For every single pattern, I purchased a crochet market price calculator!

I think I would love to sew also, but premier and other plush yarns always start to shed. It makes sewing the worst part of making things. How do you deal with it?!

When I use premier basic chenille, bernat and posh it sheds wayyyy less ! If I really want to make a plushy out of loops and threads or I know people use premier parfait chunky, I’ve used acrylic yarn in the same color to attach body parts or go slow! The slower I go the less it happens to shed, the less vigorous it’s tugged the better outcome I’ve had 🥹 hope that helps! Plush yarn will always have that sewing struggle

I do Magic Ring 8sc; R2: inc; 2 or 3 rows of sc (can put eyes between rows 3 and 4); R6 FrontLoops first: sl st, (into 1 sc - hdc, 2dc, hdc) x8; R6 Backloops: loose sl st first into 1st loop then dec until center. Hope you like this and it helps

I found arthritis compression gloves!! I only wear them when I have a long crochet day, but I really does help. The more you do it, your hands will get used to the movements as well🫶🏻
