Love it! After I left my comment about comparisons in the watercolor marker genre, I went looking. Of course there are these Zigs and I love how both came out! I also noticed the Faber Castell and the Windsor & Newton have a new marker in this media.. Those would be a good comparison although I don’t think the FC or the WN have the color range. That the Zig or the Brishmarker have. Honestly my love for Copics comes from their Renewability of the product. I am loving the Karin brush makers. Now if we can get refills etc for them they would be my favorite handsdown without question!

Oh my; never used either, but I'm glad I don't have to make a decision because they both have their pluses and minuses. I, like you, enjoy the tip on the Karin, but the actual brush tip on the Zig has its benefits. But mainly, I think you're right... it all depends on what type of coloring you do as to which would serve you best. Thank you for sharing and please stay safe.

hey Simon, great comparison video thanks! BTW the Zigs do have the colour "swatch" on the bottom end of the pen, no need to glue any on yourself... ( I also store mine brush side down so the brush doesn't dry out. Also, because they are watercolour pens, they all work beautifully on watercolour paper as well. Take care!

Thank you Simon for the comparison between these markers. I am wondering if you could give your opinion on the light fastness of the Karin markers. It is the only thing holding me back from purchasing them. I have both The zigs and The Karin’s. Personaly I go for The Zigs because The Karin’s are really wet. And they stay A long time wet.. for me as lefthanded it’s not ideal. But with both you Can really make grade creations. I love The brush from The Zigs! The Zigs I use for colouring My stamps and The karin’s I use for drawing and colouring. You have to try it by yourself to find out witch one you like better. Thanks for your explanation Simon.

Waitwaitwait I need a little clarification on that last part. With the Zigs, when you're drawing on wet surface, the color gets lighter because it's soaking up the water, right? It doesn't look like that happens with the Karen markers. They don't lighten from the water. Or do they? I couldn't tell. Cuz that would be a big selling point for me. Thanks for the great demo!
