Over the moon you kindly answered my questions Mark. I feel very, very similar about them now, the Martin Duffy incident being intolerable. I'm on holiday in Rodos right now otherwise I'd write a full reply.

Ref ticket prices I was lucky enough to get Jonny Marr tickets for Nottingham 14/4 just under £40 each . The gig was great, at that sort of price we'd attended 20 plus gigs a year rather than the 5 to 10 we do carefully think about and book.

Not only do The Cure not do dynamic pricing, but Robert stood up against TicketMaster and required them to refund fees between $5 and $10 per ticket. A classic case of Robert putting his money where his mouth is and standing up for his fans. Maximum respect earned.

Thank you for answering my question about The Cure, Mark. I became a huge fan of your's when you covered all The Cure's releases when you were early in your NotCast days. 😊

TALK TALK, wow two of my favorite albums of all time. Thats not some intellectual fashion stance on my part but a feeling that they are genuine things of beauty. This brings a question to mind, I feel these two records benefit from the CD format as opposed to vinyl. Same with a lot of ambient music I love. I know this goes against the present hype train but.....your thoughts? Peace, Steve.

They definitely are! Amazing works of art. Oddly enough, the values of original vinyl ambient releases are often low if they have the slightest surface noise. I prefer CD for some of them - ultimately, I don't really care..

Here’s a question for the future. So far you’ve talked about bands etc where you have to have them all but what acts do you only have one thing?

Mark, here’s a question for you, have you recently “rediscovered” an artist etc you’d sorted of forgotten or passed over in your collection recently? I’ve been reading a book called “Reviewing my Record Collection” by Stephen Fall (as sort of advertised on the Word podcast) & it’s prompted me to revisit The Doors and Neil Young, I’m certainly enjoying my journey through Neil Young back catalog, I’d been skipping over these CDs for years

Well, the Notcast has been really great for going deep and rediscovering artists I haven't listened to much recently and getting to the deepest depth on an album. :)

Hi Mark, I have been watching your videos for a few months now, I really like these Q&A videos 👍 funnily enough I've always thought your command of language to be really great (I always think....wish I could talk like that 🤔😁) so when you spoke of writing novels I thought Ahhhh that makes perfect sense 🤩👍 I have a question, is there any more Kraftwerk or Mogwai videos in the future or have you completed them (really enjoyed those!!) Cheers Mark 👍👍

Loads more Kraftwerk coming. Probably not Mogwai. Instrumental music is difficult to talk about.

I think most Cure fans are frustrated by Robert promising the new album and simply not following through. My fear is that he'll grow bored of the new material, or the band's line-up will change and he'll declare, yet again, that the music is not representative of the band today, and he'll just move on, like he has done in the past. While I agree with your reasoning for not releasing an album, it's the audience's connection with the music that drives ticket sales, and without new studio releases the gravy train might run dry. A new Cure release is long over due, and I'm starting to lose faith.

Can you please show Your Funko Pop collection. I Have that cure box set, But it seems overwhelming and I have yet to listen to it, it's Basically could be a lifetime compressed into a bloated pink and purple cardboard incased disappointment like every Prince Box Set I own - it's disgusting how many albums I have that have never been listened to - I get new things every other day and there is never time, Like now I watching A Guy who has way to many books about Iron Maiden when I could be listening to the 2 nearLY albums a just got in the Mail from Leverkusen Germany, An American Band with an Australian singer who is married to Trent Reznor's buddy and used to be in a band called 12 Rounds and sang the theme for the TV show "Animal Kingdom" - I do have a question is £354.46 too much to pay for speaker stands?

@@markreed4543 It's Not A surprise, I'd be disappointed if you did, most fans of music don't have large toy collections. I find them to be an abominable waste of space - I went into a record store, Utopia in Sydney a store that specializes in what used to be called "Heavy Metal" now called "Hard Rock" or "Loud guy with bad haircuts and dodgy hygiene" to find half the store full of these disgusting creatures prompting me to make the comment "Did Someone Spill Water On Them" the guy who worked there looked at me like I took a guess about how he was conceived, A woman shopping there said not to make jokes saying they have no sense of humor, I found the guy to be very friendly after giving him $632 I did go back the next day and give him $326 more and he was still friendly - but long story slightly longer children have toys men have cats.

Sleeper 95-97 fantastic. Sleeper 2019 I don't know how much difference a bass player makes but it's not the same, Unless you're Roger Waters - Bush did OK, Bowie went away for ten years - It's funny when you realize "Oh they've gone" and some where you go "Please leave you're old and hard to look at Wendy James" The Psychedelic Furs best return ever, Love Spit Love was as embarrassing as wearing Sunglasses inside in 2020. I love when people fork over a wad of cash for the exclusive tickets to basically get a Tote bag and a glass of wine, the ticket says in plain English that there is no guarantee you will meet or interact with the performer, just a bunch of rich cu*ts like yourself - Meet and greets are a bit different they get auctioned off, Pet Shop Boys did that, (Super tour) they got one really Flamboyant guy and his less than overwhelmed boyfriend trailing behind - Elton john got thousands for his M&G. I used to work in record stores and always got comps for shows, every big show free tickets pretty shit seats, the best perk was night club openings Free drinks for a good review to customers - never mentioned them ever.

Every time a bands lineup changes, it's not the same, really. Sleeper 2019 onwards are quite good, just a bit different. Jon is a very talented man.
