Just heard this song for the first time just now. My dad, also named Mark, has Alzheimer’s and many of his normal capabilities are lost on him. I’m visiting the family and have been teaching him to hug and give face cheek kisses again, surprised that these small intimacies have been lost on him.... So, we are currently eating breakfast, listening to a song by Flume, and this beat drops. Dad drops his berries, and news paper, that he remembers to read every day although he longer possesses those capabilities of understanding, and just starts Rockin’ out! Like hardcore! Serious face like, “This is some good shit!” ... kinda look. With all the energy he could while also beating surprised that he was still sitting at a table with such pleasure going through his body. Thank you for that moment. Your talent is appreciated. 🤙🏾
