Mark is devastatingly good. He's one of my all time favorite bass players.
Always an unbridled joy to see Gary's playing.

IF you've taken your time & broken Mr Pink down , then you should know it by now but my advice would be to play it at a slower temp , about half , so you get every note perfect & just gradually build up the tempo to the live versions & it'll work perfectly IF youve mastered it at half tempo & once you've got the bass line mastered then dint be afraid to keep going up in tempo... IF you have the orihinal studio recording then youll hear whst notes he hit better , as it was played at a much slower tempo on the album version & it might be best to learn the slower version & once not perfect play it at the tempo Mark does & boy do you give your hands a goog work out... lol All The Best & i hope you've got it nailed down but if not , no worries as people learn bass lines at different levels of time & ability , so keep at it...

@@greatwhite61967 appreciate the words of encouragement!!! You're absolutely right about doing slower tempos. Often I'll drop the speed on KZreads player to try to even hear what is going on lol. I think I've got the main riff down pretty good but I'm working on the fingerstyle bits next and oh boy it's quick. All the best to ya mate!!

@@devinm8128 Yeah Mark doesn't get enough recognition for his finger work , as he's just as good a finger player as he does playing thumb & plucking on his bass guitars... The reason I say thumb & plucking is because slapping isn't really the correct descriptions for what Mark does or Larry Graham/Louis Johnson/Marcus Miller all the greats , as slapping was a term used to describe those who played upright bass guitars & you could do some slapping parts if the play wanted but damn the ones that did it in the same way we look at how great Mark plays his bass lines... Look up , predominantly , all the African American Musicians back in the 20s onwards & yes I do mean 1920s & there's guys on the stage predominantly right up in the front & slapping the hell out of their upright bass guitars & these guys must have had fingers & hands made of granite , as those aren't thinner strings that they shredded their fingers on when slapping on an upright bass guitar... I'll leave you with a rarely known secret & is Mark King is Left-Handed yet he chose to play with & as a right-handed player , which makes his insane playing ability tells you how talented he is... I always put it down to the fact he wanted to be one of the best drummers but on seeing Phil Gould playing he decided to go with the electric bass guitar but that doesn't mean he wasn't a great drummer but he knew an extremely talented drummer when he saw one & thankfully for us fans he took up bass guitar instead... Wishing You All The Best Over This Weekend & don't be too hard on yourself as you'll get to play the way you can by sticking at it but again you should bypass the live version & learn from the slower album version but it's your choice & I hope you get to learn it all , as you can't beat unscrambling a bass guitar line , apart from playing Live... .....
Mr Pink and the Mysterons.🚀🚀🚀
Rarement cité dans les meilleurs bassistes, c'est pourtant l'un des tout meilleurs ! Au niveau technique, à part Mohini DEY, je vois pas qui d'autre .....
Fantastic Mark
Gary Husband smashing this!!!!
Super cool! I loved that jive... 👍😁
Man I want one of those Basses... A custom made GB spitfire bass by Luthier Bernie Goodfellow.
lol, the bad assery in these guys is awesome. I love it. They're all cooking with gas.
And still wearing his security pass round his neck.
great but a bit rushed!
Think what could have been done properly with Stewart Copeland and not what they did in Gizmodrome.
Looks like the audience is full of glassy eyed bass players.
Guitar way too loud & bad camerawork.💩
