I wish I could tell the difference between very good ice dancing and exceptional ice dancing. The rules are complex.

Believe me, many of the judges can’t tell… this is exceptional but the judges marked this as very very good

@@longarmoftheOOHLALA I do agree with all of that, but there is also sooo much subjectivity in ice dance too.

@longarmoftheOOHLALA I've never heard it described that way. No, I didn't know that skates are hollow. I also didn't know that you must skate into the ice instead of on top of it. How do you tell the difference? When fans say "so-and-so is so terrible!" I honestly don't know what makes the team so terrible.

@@longarmoftheOOHLALA I would agree with all of that - I am old enough to have been captivated by Torvill and Dean's Compulsory Dances in 1984 (I was very young then) and that was even more the case. Personally I miss the compulsory dance.
