Marisa was unsurprisingly listed in the 100 most beautiful women in the world! I didn't need the magazine survey to tell me that. I already knew it! Love how great she is at being a supporting actor as much as lead. And how she usually manages to sneak a little dance into most of her movies. Re-Write with Hugh Grant was fantastic, as was her as the mother in King of Staten Island with Steve Buscemi, Pete Davidson, Maude Apatow, and Bel Powley. She never tries to gain the spotlight attention, and loves finding her way to fit in to her role at the right level. And her sister-with-the-chip-on-the-shoulder routine in Love The Coopers with Diane Keaton and John Goodman was brilliant.

Had the wrong name actually been read, it would have been corrected immediately. Hence, the La La Land debacle years later!

She’s an actress. There was a time when many American actors had mid Atlantic accents and sounded quasi British. You found that a lot with classically trained or stage actors. Look at Austin Butler, who played Elvis. He still sounds like a southern guy, even though he’s from California. And unless you’re Matthew McConaughey, it serves you better in Hollywood to have that standard American accent.

She is great actress but the jokes they gave her for the opening were pretty bad sadly.
