Real ones know that backyard baseball is goated as this style of game

This game has so much more depth than anyone realized back then. There are still communities playing it online and finding new strats and synergies to this day. So much fun, even 2 decades later.

how can you play this online? I've also been trying to find a way to play emulators 2 player with friends online, make them the 2nd controller!

This and the Wii version of Mario Baseball are legitimately one of the best sports games Nintendo have ever put out! i still play the Wii one once in a while!

My favorite part of this game is when you beat career mode with each main captian, you unlock playing it as Bowser and it's essentially the opposite as the normal mode

This was the second game I ever got with my GameCube. I played it all the time. The story mode was phenomenal. I would still be playing it to this day if the disc didn’t give out on me. I shed a single tear just thinking about it.

Hell yeah dude, there is an amazing competitive scene for this game. They got a unique discord client in their discord and everything.

The nostalgia you’ve given me and the euphoria is unmatched. Please keep doing what you’re doing. You deserve millions of followers and I’ve recommended you to many. You’re the GOAT of KZread and I’ve seen a lot of it. Every upload you have I get so happy cause it gives me something to watch. Big fan since the Pandas! Love the Pandas, rocketmen, and the Dingos. For real though you bring lightness in the dark for me. I especially love the LLWS that you’ve been doing. Also I think an all star team out of all the NCAA revamped would be sick. Ik it doesn’t mean much coming from a nobody like me but I really do appreciate everything you’ve done. It’s keeps me out of a depressive state and I look forward to your uploads. Literally one of the greatest video games of all time. I still play this game to this day!

I loved this game! It was one of my favorites from the GameCube era. I’m still hoping the switch gets a Mario Baseball game in the future

I played the hell out of this game back in 2005 (and I still play it today as well). I got it as one of my birthday gifts along with WWE Day of Reckoning 2. It's legit one of my favorite Mario sports games and it takes me back to the days when Nintendo actually cared and put effort into their Mario sports titles. Would love to see this game get ported to the Switch, but sadly that doesn't seem very likely to happen.

My college friends and I got into this game like no other. The goat arcade baseball game

The issue with hitting the low number of home runs was due to not timing up the power swing right before the ball got there. You were powering up too early. If you play the WII version it is the same thing

aight drewski, if you're getting into the Mario Sports games, I HIGHLY recommend the Mario Strikers games, both the GameCube and the Wii one. absolutely chaos and absolutely fun. Mario sports games are among my favorites. they "simplify" things to perfection.

Tip: If you mercy a team, you get all their players, regardless of how many flags you earned. To mercy a team, "simply" lead by 10+ runs at the end of an inning.

MSB does have that Pro Yakyuu Famista DNA in the pitching and batting but MSB adds Chemistry and Star Swing/Pitch into the mix.

This game was legit my favorite as a kid. So many good memories. I had to get every player in my lineup. Peach/Daisy/Warrior/Waluigi/DK/Luigi /Yoshi/Mario… Diddy Kong was annoying and hard to use for me because he had such a tiny bat. It threw me off. Still such a good game. Luigi was my favorite to play as.

Just as a tip: when stealing and fielding, mashing B makes you run faster. when going back to your original base while base running, mashing the button that represents that base makes you run faster.

This game has a small speedrun community and some competiive community as well. This game is awesome.

Go through a more in depth series with this. Try to gather all of the players you can and star them. Starring them makes the better in every category and the gameplay becomes more deep. Also, try to time your charge swing to let go when the circle under the batter is at the point of being max size
