Vector's move is not from Runners. Sonic Runners actually took his super sprint from the first three M&S games (where he slides on his belly like he's swimming), but Sochi gave him this new move. Don't think it's referencing anything, however. Just your everyday flying crocodile. As for Toad, I'd never have guessed this was his sprint if it weren't for the sound effects. The others are just all so flashy in comparison.

I bet shadow the hedgehog will be in the next modern sonic game because he hasn't appeared since heroes. he would be great to use for his chaos abilities. Also he could boost in generations.

No. It's a stat along with run speed, not a power up or something. Removing super sprinting will make speed characters OP.
