I’m back again for the comfiest descent into madness

Can’t say how much I miss this crew and how big of an impact they made on my life. Wish them all the very best. So happy they have all wound up in places that seem to be doing well. Here’s to Giantbomb!

They are all great, but this might be the best one. Jeff is not yet completely broken here. He can still feel some joy. And at 44:30, that joy left him and he broke.

This one is the best for sure, imo. 5 & 7 are also really strong, though.

It takes 100 stars to unlock eternity and the best map to 50 turn on is peach or yoshi when you pay 50 to the bottom whomp.

The dynamic between Dan and Jeff is so great.

Who else is going to miss madman Dan, and the chaos his ideas brought to Giant Bomb? I'm watching this after finishing "The Final Mario Party" and I'm weirdly emotional.

If it doesn't work out at the WWE, he can always come back to Giant Bomb. He still has that entire notebook of ideas after all. I think the biggest hurdle has always been that production time on a lot of projects like Burgle My Bananas and Steal My Sunshine or even the Command & Conquer stream was too long, and it would take more manpower to see stuff like that properly fleshed out. Going to really miss Dan anyway. Those are some REALLY big shoes to fill and the energy he injected into the site after Ryan passed helped breathe life back into the team. Hopefully he comes back for Extra Life this year like Austin and Drew have done previously. :)

I don't miss the actual person but I miss the pain and chaos he caused to GB, but especially I miss those bizarre things he would occasionally say like when he didn't know that real historic pirates were actually rapist, murderous thieves or that Mario Party is a game of skill

I love the juxtaposition of Dan talking like Mario Party is a real game, and Jeff's soul slowly eroding as the horrid reality sinks ever in that he has to do this eight more fucking times

Dan cackling like an imp on nitrous oxide gives me life. I swear, he is this good at these because he is a game of Mario Party given a sentient form

I always found bullshit that Mario's Rainbow Castle is listed as being one Star in difficulty. Yet, Bowser steals 50 coins from whatever Player meets Him. I'm sure it's the most He steals from players out of any map. Technically, it's 40 coins since you immediately go down to Koopa after climbing the tower and get 10 back due to the game mechanics. Still quite harsh for one star difficulty.

It's amazing how Mario Party's effect has had such a drastic ageing effect on these guys.

I've spent over 30hrs of my life watching these Parties, and don't regret a single minute.

I know that this is old, but I remember watching all of these for the first time. It genuinely makes me sad that I've already watched all of them and I can't rewatch them for the first time. I can't wait for them to make another one on the new mario party comes out because they're absolutely hilarious. Somehow, I feel welcomed when I watch.

I have watched this three times. No regrets

I still love these videos. They are like comfort food or a warm blanket. I love the endurance runs and I love UPF. I love the big live live show live and everything else the site produced for a wonderful, formative many years in my life. I’ll probably return to GB content until I’m an old man. Seeing what became of the team really makes me so sad. I can’t even remember the name of the other site they split off into. It’s soulless and depressing. I wonder why they had a falling out It’s insane to me that these guys basically pioneered let’s plays back in 2008, were at the top of their popularity, and decided they didn’t want to listen to the entire fan base asking for endurance runs. They walked away from a literal fortune. They could have been making Game Grumps money these days. They chose not to play 30 minutes of games together everyday. I’ll never understand that. If you are reading this and haven’t watched them before, go watch the Persona 4 and Deadly Premonition endurance runs. They are some of the most classic videos on the internet.

There was always was a feeling that this wouldn't last forever. I know that right after ryan davis died, it was hard even for me to keep listening to the giantbombcast. I watched them for years but it sadly came to an end. I really fucking miss ryan davis and the crew. Drew leaving had me feeling that was the beginning of the end

Oh man. This was the series back in the day that made a yearly sub after being on and off monthly sub. Love it and really makes me miss the Jeff and Dan dynamic we will lose. At least Vinny will get great pair and we still have the Best of the Year podcast with whole crew.

Best video on KZread? Yes!

This is probably the only time I've enjoyed watching or playing MP1. I genuinely think it grew on all of them as the game went on, looking forward to checking the premiums out soon.

Jeff's sarcastic enthusiasm for this game is great, it has really shifted to hate after the last few mario parties

1:08:05 is the reason I still play it. Not the only reason mind you but still. Doing the middle first is so much easier but the result's the same. When there's no double green players the player selection the second pick is just as easy. The third's just the topping of the revenge cake.

I would kill to be there and play Mario party with you. I have never played it but I always laugh like crazy when watching these videos :)

in the grand scheme of things. this game gave (MP¹) Dan such an advantage especially with the mini games. shouldn't even have counted to the totals for example the face stretches, dan knew the exact contact spots to warp the face. Another example would be the countless other many games that then was able to abuse for the victory due to lack of experience from the rest of the crew
