I do think the HooHoo Mountain residents looking like the FF cactus characters is intentional considering Alpha Dream was founded by former Square Soft developers. Obviously didn't have the rights to the FF characters so they just paid homage or whatever you wanna consider it. Even the name Alpha Dream is a parody of Final Fantasy.

I want you to know it *was* near impossible fighting Cackletta's soul back in 2003 on an og gba. I'm so nostalgic towards this one and the first Paper Mario. Great video!

If i remember correctly, you can get unique gear from Jojora if you can deal a total of 100 damage to her while she only takes 1 damage each hit.

The funny bit about the S.S. Chuckola scene is, in the original Japanese localization, Chuckola Cola was an alcoholic beverage, which was changed to soda for Western audiences because of ESRB standards... but Bloat is clearly still drunk after having consumed a bunch of it.
