Fun fact, this game actually does have anti-piracy measures! The only thing it does, though, is freeze the game right after you land the last hit on the final boss, and prevent you from seeing the cutscene, or doing the secret Bowser fight after it

It also feels like its not calling you a criminal specifically but rather at first thinking that you just don't know that you're playing a pirated game, thus giving you the benefit of the doubt since these could simply be made then sold. However, the game eventually realizes you aren't going to comply with reporting the anti piracy and it then paints you as the criminal.

@@Porygonal64 Point out where 666 was used anywhere in the video. As the reply before you stated, it did no such thing, it actually made sense with the steps it took. It gives the player the benefit of the doubt, explains, then becomes a bit more creepy and paints the player as a criminal when they don't comply. It wasn't doing "hehe devil number because piracy bad".

Honestly you did a nice job with this. Portraying the piracy as like a way to teach you a lesson while enjoying the game mechanics offers a good way to encourage you to buy the normal game. I also love how the music is slowed down, it adds a nice touch to it while not making it seem obvious that this is fake

This is one of the only trends I'm not annoyed to see on my recommended every 5 seconds 😳

Since the game itself its actually creepy, this just makes it worse lmao

@@elile8games611 Yeah the Super Mario Odyssey AP screen sucks, 1-google images, 2-barely readable text that I don't know what it means because it's so unreadable. at least it isn't "he7u priacy bad"

This would make me terribly furious if I was a kid.

while it doesn’t affect me, it may be a good idea to add an epilepsy warning somewhere (like the first line of the description) as the flashing lights were a bit chaotic, and im not sure if they could be harmful for anyone. great video by the way, though! i liked how toadsworth was essentially frantically trying to tell mario (the player) to not pirate while still trying to manage the battle. very nice editing!

You'd better release the full soundtrack.

The thing is... I would piracy a game just to see what awesome messages the creators have installed for me. This is art.

A sequel strives to improve on the predicessor. The eerie tone of Partners in Time fits a bit better than Superstar Saga's more comedic tone. Great Job! Dang that File Select scared the sh*t out of me.

This is actually pretty good! Only flaw is the obvious green screen in the tutorial, unless that's supposed to be part of the glitchy game as a foreshadow for the glitchy mess that ensues onwards.

Another games: Let's make a joke about piracy! Nintendo: Let's traumatize children!

I gotta admit this is one of the few Anti piracy videos I liked beside the classic like Mario Party DS, I felt it was realistic enough, was scary yet not completely unrealistic, and used the games world and assets effectively!

I pirated partners in time on an r4 card for ds was a gift on my 10th birthday and was my first ever mario game the only thing that ever went wrong was that it would freeze after saving except ya know by that point it’s already saved and you could just turn the ds off and on again

The specific glitches of it loading in the Shroob UFO thing to blast Mario felt too specific to be real, but other than that this one actually seemed pretty legit

if there's one I notice that sticks out is the GBA cartridge remove sound glitch during crashes. it's not a sound file in the game. well I suppose it's a universal criticism to the DS anti piracy vidoes.
