@@DarkFawful i would like for the mario and luigi series to get a new game and honestly just include other characters from the main series at this point.(theres the obvious wario and waluigi but i would love to see it go farther. it could add the warioware cast and captain syrup,maybe a few donkey kong characters or even rosalina, a playable peach,pauline or princess daisy as i did wish she was in dream team and the other year of luigi games/luigi's mansion 3 as i find it a very wasted opportunity that they havent extended their use of characters.:3)i would like it if they brought back that other nintendo characters appearing concept from superstar saga(really sucks e. gadd replaced them and it really couldve been fixed if they added that to the remake instead of bowsers minions which imo couldve just been cutscenes in the main game.)and maybe expand on it by having other nintendo characters appear in side quest like pit and palutena,marina and pearl/the squid sisters, captain falcon, the ice climbers,the arms characters,the fire emblem cast or kirby.

The counterattack mechanic was in the series since Superstar Saga, a lot of bosses used it. Off the top of my head, Rookie does it when you attack Popple, the Piranha Plants in the Mom Piranha fight do it, Hermie III does it, and Cackletta's Soul does it.

Almost two years after this video uploaded and Alpha Dream just filed for bankruptcy today... :'(

You forgot to mention the part about how we didn't appreciate how great the series was until it was too late.

what you talking about. i loved this series it was basically what if the 3d games had more of a story and i love it for that since the 3d games really need to take notes from this(next level games aside.:3) it does suck that it may be the last well see of it since i feel the remake of superstar should've included the planned nintendo cameos instead of bowser's minions and instead of a bowser's inside story remake or paper jam they should've done a new one that had wario,waluigi,princess daisy(she really should have appeared in dream team and it feels weird she never appeared in the year of luigi, not even dr. luigi where she easily could've been a assistant or p2.) and rosalina as they would've been cool to see and alphadream could've had a field day with them considering they made the koopalings interesting.

This video needs to be redone with Zach Aguilar and some corrections.

I'm so sad about AlphaDream's bankruptcy.

Kind of ironic that this video denies that the series was influenced by Super Mario RPG, when AlphaDream was clearly picked _because_ of that influence on its other games-but all parties had to deny that influence on Mario & Luigi because of whatever Square-related reason they couldn't make a SMRPG sequel

The only reason Waluigi seems useless is because he hasn’t had a role in a main Mario game yet. However, with the inclusion of side characters in recent games (Daisy in Super Mario Run, Pauline in Super Mario Odyssey) I have a feeling that will change very soon.

7:30 (Minor Dream team spoilers, you've been warned.) The Hammer Bros are actually far from the only characters in the series that speak in katakana. Midbus speaks this way, which is also part of why he gets the "bad kung fu dub" schtick. Antasma speaks in katakana as well, which is where he gets his thick accent from. The swirling emotions in Dream's Deep are originally in katakana, with the notable exception of the kanji 兄, meaning "brother," which is really neat.

What if there WAS a co-op Mario and Luigi game? One where you could use something like the joy con and one person controlled Mario and the other controlled Luigi? That would be really cool!

The reason the mind controlled Hammer Bros. speak in katakana in Japanese is most likely because that's how robotic speech is usually rendered in manga and video games, and definitely has nothing to do with implying they're speaking a foreign language. The robot connection is also probably why the localization team decided to go with leetspeak.

Wow I knew Alpha Dream was great but this video showed me how dedicated they are. Not to mention attention to detail! Also throwing consoles and controllers together like Macgyver show how passionate they really are.

Well if you want to develop things you kind of have to. Nintendo dominated the handheld market with the GBA being pretty much unchallenged during it's entire run. Improvised equipment like that was also made by Rare to use on Goldeneye 007 which actually used a Genesis controller.

Well in all fairness Geno is legally a Square Enix character, not a Nintendo one, so Alpha Dream probably couldn't re-secure the rights for his cameo this time around.

It's 2019 at the moment we have 2 superstar sagas 1 for the gameboy and 1 for the 3ds, we have 2 bowsers inside story 1 for the ds and 1 for the 3ds, yet I think we need a new partners in time cause I wanna see new graphics, and another built in game just like the last two remakes I think the new remake (If we ever get one) should be called Mario and Luigi: Partners in time + Toads Time trouble. Basically in the toads time trouble you play as toad who has to help Egadd fix his inventions so he can see if the bros are okay in the past so you have to travel across the kingdom finding gadgets for Egadd but along the way you bump into the koopalings and shroob like creatures and you build up your team one by one to help Egadd so he can help the bros (also this may explain why bowser has the random shroobs locked up in his castle from bowser inside story).

That pencil "joke" made me want to die more than I already do.
