I just stocked up on a bunch of POW buff and DEF debuff badge effects to do more damage to him.

That boss looks like one of those characters from the Kirby series. He looks like the police with the body of the chief [Kawasaki?].

Did I just figure out Big Massif used a Doppio/Diavolo trick? Did I just compare Big Massif to Diavolo? -uses cellphone to communicate with himself -has two forms -acts as his own proxy

Big Massif... I dreaded facing this boss when I first heard how hard he was. And to be fair, he is incredibly beefy.

i love how big massif literally reuses the same attacks the three last 3 bosses used

Meh. He reminds me more of TF2 Heavy. Both are Russian and have broken English. Both refer to others weaker than them with specific terms (Heavy = Babies. Massif = Cutlets). And both like showing their strength in action.

Watch the Hooraws in the background. In the case shown, they only do a short jump, in which case Massif won't jump. Other times, they will jump higher, meaning Massif will jump over Mario.

And also to avoid Big Massif's block push attack, watch the Hooraws, if they wave up then Big Massif will hit it immediately, but if the Hooraws get scared, Big Massif will move aside and then hit it.
