Looks really cool and I realize the glasses probably help a lot, but I can't forgive how they took a ride based on a high speed racing game and turned in into a super slow dark ride. Test track at Epcot proves you can have both dark ride and a high speed coaster, don't get why they did not do something similar here.

The space is too small. Plus Test track isn’t as themed as Mario kart. It doesn’t drive through sets.

I was hoping the song for rainbow road was going to be longer. I love it so much.

Visuals look cool but I guess like everyone says it's better when you have the glasses on because you feel like you're actually in the game. I was expecting something more like Test Track at EPCOT

I thought it was going to be more like the cars ride at California adventure - half thrill, half watching experience. The entire thing is slow. I get it it’s a game ride. But I thought it would be more of a race car ride.

I think the glasses or what is on the face improve the the ride so it doesn't seem that great without it. But yeah if it was like Radiator Springs Racers that would be awesome.

You've done nothing that no over video has shown... I've been watching KZread videos just see what this ride is like.... Thank you ! I can't wait till this come to the US... Please bring it now to Florida !!!!!!! (I live in CT, and it's 24-30 hour drive to get there, and I'll be there on opening day)

I haven't rode this yet but, everyone's complaining because we haven't been on it personally I believe ? Think about the forbidden adventure in Harry Potter. The ride itself gave me the impression I was truly flying despite how damn slow it was, I thought I was going fast because of all the 4D effects. Yes this is slow, but it's not meant to be a roller coaster, simply an attraction and display (for everyone). Nintendo's franchise has been aiming at kids a lot, whereas the Potter franchise tend to go for ages 13+ But they are very aware that younger kids indulge in the series. Point is, both attractions are completely aware that children are gonna want to ride both. And they want to make it kid friendly as much as possible, as scary fast roller coasters tend to intimidate younger audiences. But I'm very sure that the physical effects on the ride would really make up for it.

The thing to remember is there is an AR element that you don’t get on a video.

Do you blame them? They were expecting the Cars ride at California Adventure; a high speed race, not the Buzz Lightyear ride. It probably *feels* fast with the screens on the floor on the Rainbow Road section for example, but the Cars ride *was* fast when it came to the racing section. The AR technology and the set pieces are extremely well made, immersive and whimsical. If this wasn’t *the* Mariokart ride, people wouldn’t mind it.

Mario Kart is one of the most well known brands in video game *racing*... you’d definitely expect a ride with speed on this side of Cars, or Test Track at WDW or even Spider Man at Islands of Adventure. I def wouldn’t say it looks “bad” but it definitely doesn’t meet the natural, logical expectations for such a ride. Still should be enjoyable tho for kids especially.

Wow, this is cool! And puts the Yoshi's Adventure ride to shame! I also love the que! Brings back great childhood memories, can't wait to see if the one coming to Orlando will be a little better. Don't necessarily care for the interactive part, I think that's kind of annoying

Even though it is a bit disappointing (i was hoping it would be like ninjago/the new spiderman ride where you use your hands tho throw things) i’d still ride it because it still looks fun and you can see the effort that was put into it

I saw the patent that was bought for what was assumed to be this ride. It was a drift coaster where a actual rollercoaster was under a fake roadway with a slit cut down the center. Through that slit a rod would connect to the front of a gocart while slightly letting it hover above the track. This way the cart could swing and drift freely around curves and banks. This is a very disappointing dark ride in comparison.

This is easily one of universals best rides.

I know that everybody says, that with AR it feels faster. And I need to say, that from the theming they really done a good job. But cmon 😒 The Artwork looked way more than a rollercoaster and that’s why everyone is hating the actual ride now. I know that u can’t judge a ride without ridden it, but thats such a disappointment. ☠️🤡

Guys! Shut up about how slow and disappointing this ride is! It’s way more fun! Trust me I’ve seen a video where the guy out the phone in the car goggle! It’s really sick and is way better with goggles. With goggles you can see other players and you can throw items like shells. So shut up!

I think the main thing to note here is that mario kart has never been a good racing game. its a perfect party game for Everyone and thats what this ride appears to be about

@@allenelijah7063 i mean yes its a good game but the game is too random to be considered a good racing game, the thing is its a game that messes with drivers with items and its very random who it decides to let win. its more in the style of mario party than a conventional racing game. its just hard to race when all sorts of items are flying around hitting people and its more in the name of fun than the skill based nature of other racing games. i hope this explanation made sense 8)
