Mario Kart 8 Speedrun in

Here's a pretty average speedrun I did a while back of Mario Kart 8. It got some major mistakes in it, but also some okay driving here and there. Hope it can still be somewhat enjoyable to watch.
Also, as some of you that are familiar with the game will notice, I'm doing some techs here that's actually not beneficial for me to go faster (Nintendo thought it was a great idea to make all the tech useless for 200cc) but I wasn't aware of it at the time since 200cc had just been released and there were some conflicting information regarding if the techs were still usable or not, so I just decided to do them anyway in case they were still usable, and since I found the game more fun to play that way.

Didn't you used to own the WR on Luigi Circuit in MKWii? I swear I remember seeing your name at the top spot when the game first came out.

Isn't it somewhat annoying to do a speedrun in this game, as items and so on are random?

+Skellborn you can choose what kinda items you want. so for this speedrun i just had mushrooms chosen which i think is most suited since you can then do some shortcuts and stuff.

+fB / frostBeule Aaaah that's good to know, thanks :) My sis has the game and we sometimes play, when i'm home during vacations, but i didn't know this :D Are there some kind of official rules, which state which items can be used or was it just your prefered setting?

+Skellborn There are leaderboards available here: www.speedrun.com/mk8 Looks like there's no category for mushrooms only though. Personally I just think it's more fun and less random to use mushrooms only, so that's why I used these settings.
