Don't get confused.

Hope one day we get a real Mario.exe game with more characters (Like Wario, Daisy, Waluigi, Bowser and more) and maybe story, Sonic was able to do it with spirits of hell and another great titles, Mario could do it as well, right?

Mario has great fangames, just like Sonic, and if his Exe version could get past the original game and put more characters, story, Boss fights and more in SOME of his fangames, Mario.exe could do it as well, because right now, the Exe version of the plumber feels stuck doing the same thing over and over again in the classic era and only with Luigi.
