9:39 yes I ship them, but the problem is Mario and Meggy’s relationship/friendship has downgrading a TON since SMG4: DO NOT ENTER. They’ll have some moments where they’re friends, but most of the time, they’ll be hating each other’s guts (which is depressing). They had such a good relationship from 2017-late 2020, until the SMG4 writers (Kevin and Colin at the time probably) decided to screw over their relationship and make Mario just be used to capture clout, garner views, extremely underdeveloped and inconsistent, and only used for memes. Meggy on the other hand has just became essentially the golden child of the channel, basically can do no wrong and when she does do something wrong (ex. cause a whole arc), she doesn’t get any punishment for it. She has also became angry ginger who extremely egotistical and blames all of whatever bad happens onto Mario. However on the bright side, they have been very slowly repairing their relationship. The writers now (just Kevin) are probably going screwnpver their development once they realize they’re not fought each other recently.

Just because two characters don't end up being together, doesn't mean their relationship is ruined, they're like a brother and sister duo, they get on each others nerves and fight, because that's what siblings do, they're not a couple, and i think this is the reason why they're doing this, they said they don't want much of any romance in Smg4, most people who ship characters, will hate when their ship doesn't sail in cannon events

The fact that axol died as soon as it was official shows that smg4 doesn't want to have relationships and if he does i think those two would be the only exception You also bypassed my point entirely, meggy and mario are not, nor will they be a couple, and just because they argue doesn't make their friendship bad Not sure if you realise but, if you take away the constant memes and insanity, their friendship is a very accurate brother and sister duo

It’s funny… Because I have a friend who would make a very good real-world counterpart to Meggy. Both in appearance as well as personality. With the added bonus of NOT having been the victim of a traumatic event of any kind (as far as I know), so none of that PTSD crap. Let alone being zombified, watching two of your friends die, and being tortured nearly to death twice…
