You couldnt be more wrong ever.. Marines die for eachother. They dont need a higher cause. That is the only cause.

Our job was to conduct warfare plan and Simple. Like General Kennedy said, people that we lost in Iraq weren't victims. Everyone that signed up to join the Marine Corps and to be in the infantry knew there could be a chance we could see combat, which meant we could loose our life. I got to 2/4 just before 9/11. I went on the Oki deployment and this one. I knew by choosing an infantry MOS, there was a chance not a high one when I joined, that I could see combat one day and guess what things happen. You may think it was for nothing, for us it was our job.

@@jdog4303 You might have signed up to be a mercenary. I, like most that I know, signed up to protect our country, which we now know was never at risk, and our leaders knew that the entire time.

What happened to the Marine Corps regulation haircut? The Marines in uniform definitely don’t adhere to the zero to 3” hair length.

I was in that pipeline! Almost went. Had got to bootcamp then got sick. Had I made it all the way through I would have probably died.

I disagree with your assertion. I went through the Okinawa deployment as well as this deployment. We wanted to go. It was our job that we had been training for.
