What comes across is Marilyn's beauty that face is so luminous. And her complexity fragile, sensual, anxious but when she say's "alright then" you know she is not to be messed with. Beautiful and complex is why we still love her.

Marilyn was so nervous during this interview bc her and Arthur had just witnessed a serious car accident that involved a papadazzi, apparently she was trying to take a photos of Marilyn and Arthur but drove too fast in a road curve and crushed into a tree, she flew off the car, Arthur went to a nearby house to ask for help and as witness tell, Marilyn was in total shock and stayed still in the car watching the situation. Later on she felt very guilty bc the woman died trying to take a picture or her, that’s why she’s so nervous and off.

Marilyn looks so beautiful here. More natural, less makeup and fuss with her hair, you can really see her beauty. She was so much more than what people thought. She was really a very good actress. I think playing the babysitter in a hotel and Bus Stop were two of her best dramatic films. Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend and How to Marry a Millionaire are the 2 best glamour/music/adorable.

She tried hard to look happy... sometimes she looks confused, distracted and sad... even afraid. And then she remembered she could smile. I think she was stronger than everybody thought she was. She could have been much better but was deep into depression cause of her materialistic side wasn't compatible with her true self. She chose the easiest path.

So many comments here about how fragile she was, a little doll. It's absolute nonsense. You don't get to the top of Hollywood and stay there by being fragile. She was tough and certainly had inner strength. She knew what she wanted and obtained it. It was the stardom that eventually destroyed her, as its a rare person who can survive that pressure cooker for long.

I'd "never" make it as a celebrity or famous person. The press is so ruthless, shameless, intrusive, over-reactive, immature, and downright obnoxious that I'd punch someone out before I ever got started. I'll never forget the Beatles very first press interview upon landing at JFK in 1964. How they handled that (with such humor & grace) was just amazing. I would have "lost it" and gone back to England.

He was horrible toward her. She was happy and vibrant as seen in The Seven year itch before the marriage but soon afterward, she was melancholy and sad from that time, (it seems he left his notebook open on a table for Marilyn to read stating he regret marrying her and she's a pitiful dependent waif who was stopping his creativity) as noticeable in Some like it hot and The Misfits. He also begin an affair with a crew member during the filming of The Misfits and she knew about it. He was very verbal abusive toward on the set. Soon afterward, like he did to his ex wife for Marilyn, he divorced her and married the woman in 1962. He also refused to go to Marilyn's funeral.

LOL, you are totally right. Haha. She was so nervous I'm not sure she did it on purpose but serves him right, he was just using her. Just after they married, Marilyn happened to come across Miller’s notebook lying open on a table and discovered that he was disappointed in her and feared that his own creativity would be threatened by this "Pitiable, dependent, unpredictable waif" he had married and was seriously regretting the union. And he also wrote, ‘The only woman I will ever love is my daughter’. Her heart was always broken.

@@ludmillaparez5255 He was horrible to her. Leaving his notebook open so she can read that he regret marrying her and she's a pitiful dependent waif who was stopping his creativity. He also started an affair with a member of the crew on the set of The Misfits and Marilyn knew about it. Before her marriage to him, she was beautiful and vibrant like in the movie The Seven year itch but after the marriage, she seems so miserable and sad like in the movie, Some like it hot and the Misfits. He was horrible to her during filming of The Misfits. He also refused to go to Marilyn's funeral.

I think right on this day (because of the fatal accident and her marriage to the selfish Arthur Miller, which would make her even unhappier) most of her joy was gone and an open wound would continue to grow inside her.
