Love your opening line Susan… “Funny is God”(and Her name is Woman)… If we do the mini convention, “let the best woman win,” and we all get behind her and win (and if we don’t elect a woman this time, not only will most of the rest of the world think much less of us, but WTF are WE thinking? And doing? If the former president is allowed back in the White House, life as all those people in your life know it, is OVER. I'm 63. I tried talking to my generation and older and they've been shutting me down. I've been talking to the young people - 40s and under. They get it. True democracy is fought for. It's not comfortable. Ok. If you didn't have Trump, you wouldn't have Biden. But you wouldn't have Biden if you didn't have Obama. And you would have a completely different race, if the major parties did not anoint there choice of candidate. I like Marianne. And I think it is a travesty that she has been shunted aside by the Democratic Party machine. But after being ridiculed and ignored, it is pretty heady stuff to be thrust into the limelight.

You’re not helping. You’re right to say that we need a changing direction in this country, BUT couldn’t we wait until next election cycle? Saving Democracy is more important than a change in structure at this point.

The polls are saying something different this morning, and no, I do not hang my hat on polls. If we lose our democracy, we are toast. We will never get it back; at least not for 30 years or more.
