MU-COM is a Catholic medical institution built on our Franciscan heritage's inspired vision and values. To do this, you will find your curriculum highlights interprofessional education, provides service-learning opportunities, integrates diversity, equity, inclusion, and ethics, and provides wellness programming in and outside of the classroom.
MU-COM is dedicated to preparing osteopathic physicians committed to the complete healing of individuals' bodies, minds, and spirits. Our curriculum promotes and measures student competencies, emphasizing osteopathic clinical skills and public service activities provided in diverse populations of individuals and cultures, including the underprivileged and medically under-served in local, regional, national, and international environments. Our program provides all learners with strong foundational knowledge in primary care, which will allow you to practice in a multitude of practice settings and any specialty. Osteopathic principles and practice (OPP) and osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) are delivered longitudinally across all four years of your education. We focus on teaching and living out a "whole person" approach to our patients and students.
