No, Mariah is best. Beyonce is not the best of the two generations. She can sing sure but she's overrated. Tori Kelly Amber Riley Sohyang and Jennifer Hudson are the "IT" girls today.

@@whitneyhouston1122 Tori is good but lack a lot in dynamics, the same for Amber , Sohyang is my fav but she's so far from Beyoncé's agility and middle/low range, Jennifer is good but far behind the others, her vocal technique is sometimes inconsistent, she also is far behind everyone you mentioned agility and dynamics wise. So how can you say Beyoncé is far behind?

I preferred Beyonce mostly because of the girth in her voice. Technique wise, while I love Mariah's resonance, Beyonce again wins for me.

Damn Mariah out of her prime sure packs a punch against Beyonce during her prime. And that E5 from Mariah slays!

Mariah had a nice voice here, but it sounded like she was pushing and her voice could crack at any moment. Beyonce also has an amazing voice, and even further, her technique requires less effort and produces a more free sound, so it goes to Beyoncé in my opinion.

Mariah won by thousand miles vocally speaking. Her voice even in these declining era is still rare. Bey tends to oversing, and thats not how a vocalist with a proper technique and discipline does.

"Oversing" isn't a vocal flaw, is subjective.

Mariah is really holding her voice to sing these notes, while Beyoncé just sing them like nothing, if Mariah learned to sing with a different technique, she would still kick these notes, but she brings too much chest voice, which is not exactly bad, but its not sustainable for these songs she's singing.

Beyonce!!! my queen. good video. beyonce's voice just gets better and fuller with age. mariah's voice was showing decline at this age. both are my favorites though.

She didn't lip it. She had a support backing track that she sung over. Sound came out of her mouth. Lipping implies that she just mimicked singing.

The Serial doesn't change the fact that Beyoncé' vocal technique and overall vocal ability is world class and pouts her in the same league as Mariah in her prime like it or not. If you would actually use your ears instead of your blind love for Mariah then you would know that Beyoncé is class of her own vocally and is just a good as Mariah was.

The Sorcerer you just lost all credibility by saying "Beyoncé sounds forced" um no she doesn't. If anyone sounded slightly forced it was Mariah. At 30-34 years was when Mariah voice was starting to decline again while Beyoncé vocally gets better every year

RyderC Daniels Mariah's voice started to decline was in 2006. Mariah's performances from 1990-1996 were Perfection. her perforamnces in her butterfly tour were very raspy but very powerful. her voice from Glitter and Charmbracelet era were amazingly great. very powerful and she's hitting whistle notes in every song. watch her 2003 performance of vision of love in zurich. and you can drink water.

Mariah voice is so much more beautiful ...i could never listen to more than half song of beyonce. Mariah is better . I bet if beyonce didnt dance very few people would attend her concert while people attend mariah C concert for her voice alone

Mariah is a part of the vocal trinity!!!! Beyonce can't even be compared to Jennifer Hudson let alone Mariah! Mariah is in two leagues higher than beyonce even at mariah's so called worst (which is incomparable til this day). Beyonce is in a league with Alicia Keys, Mary J Blige, Toni Braxton.
