YOUR reactions are insane. Sooooo good and sooooo MUCH welcome vocal analysis. Regarding vocal placement where is she placing it? Sometimes sounds like she sings towards the back, then forward placement etc... it is like her voice uses every acoustic of her skull. It is INSANE. Thank you so much. Thank you so much! You basically answered already, she uses ALL the placements! At this stage of her life her ability to move around was insane, and I don’t even think she was aware of it. Really insane!

Amazing reaction, Always great to learn with you God bless your talent. Mariah singing skills is bless and special, I think the fact that she had her mom who is an opera singer helped her with that control in her early 20 , her mom was her first teacher. Would love you to react r to her song Lead the way , there's very much to learn In that song.

Excellent analysis of Mariah, the best I’ve seen! Interesting how a song so involved and technically difficult (even impossible) is performed with such ease and confidence. MC is 20, but her voice sounds experienced and cosmopolitan.

Mariah is a vocal coach, it’s funny to see a vocal coach react to her, no disrespect in this era there were no vocal effects or anything just PURE TALENT AND KNOWLEDGE. OMG i almost missed this! In my defence, i dont think it came up on my feed! :/ Glitch, maybe? Anyways, your analysis was so detailed and engaging as usual! :) This is brilliant work you're putting out there :) Mariah is just too much haha 😵😵 it's a shame over the years she has let nerves and anxiety impact her live performances...these days she's way more nervous on stage. People will only want to hear her belt for her life but as you say a singer is more than just that. She is and will go down in history as a vocal bible 💖💖💖

@@LetsTalkAboutSinging Great!! So maybe you will explain to me how she managed to sing such a impossible song live better than the studio version, think that it literally doesn' t exist a cover in original key of that song, only Glennis Grace tried , and let's say it's not really a great cover 🙄

Please check out her performances from 1996. That year was considered her peak prime and her "best" vocally. Her voice changed drastically compared to this.

I just love your reaction and analysis. Please tell me, how do you recognise the notes of a riff or a run so fastly? You're talking about some notes, then comes a run and you simply play it on piano. Is it perfect pitch? Or is it an extremely accurate ear? Well, anyways, it's amazing. I love when people are able to explain with more details a melodic arrange. I'm a musician, but I'm not a singer. So for me it's a little easier to understand in the way you explain, rather than a vocal coach that uses exclusively singing terminology. Thanks a lot! A hug from Brazil 🇧🇷🇧🇷

Is Mariah an alto or mezzo soprano?

I don’t use those kind of classifications for contemporary singers. They’re strictly based on classical music standards, and a use of the voice that has nothing to do with the way contemporary singers sing. For example they don’t consider chest voice for women or head voice for men, not to mention mixed voice etc. With her range Mariah basically covers notes that go from a baritone to a coloratura soprano hahaha! But again, it makes no sense to classify her or any other contemporary singer using classical standards.
