Even if she did, she knows how to sing and doesn’t need to prove anything. No one’s voice lasts forever and I hate the comparing. It’s like when people say Britney can’t dance anymore. She proved she could back in the day and doesn’t need to prove anything now. If people can’t appreciate talent, and always want to compare, then we should compare those people from how they were in the past.

I don't care if it is lipped or not lipped. She still has it and has the potential to do another album with a number one hit. Make no mistake. Only artist that I found that never lipped sync was the 80's artists cause playback along with autotune, didn't exist back then. So with a concert being lipped or partially lipped or what the fuck ever, haters can fall back cause this is how it will be with every singer now days. Just live with it. The main thing is that it is a way to preserve their voices. People always had criticized Mariah though cause she sounds like studio versions a lot cause she puts more dynamic into her voice. I even wanted to be a singer and I've always in choir hit the same notes that we practiced with and then there were times that I switched my voice around in choir class that my own instructor heard me and praised me by saying something to the whole class that he could hear me switching from bass, to baritone, then to tenor voice. So just to not be criticized so much, she changes her voice to not to try to be so dynamic to sound like it was recorded. So I just don't care if she lips or not. For all people who likes to say that she lips or whatever, you try doing it every single day for years and lets see how well you do. Like for instance, if I have a cold, I will sing lower notes instead of high notes but I do try to whistle and can whistle when I have a cold but can't whistle when I am totally fine. I admit that her tone has changed since when she came out but the voice hadn't even matured yet. Really her tone changed when she did Daydream, not Music Box. The way she sung changed very much but sounded better but this is where people will argue. It is just foolish. I am just grateful that she can still make more music and save her voice from the touring as much as she does do by lip syncing some. I wouldn't even care if she didn't whistle much anymore but make solid music without her signature whistles but the whistles makes everything much unique and above all better. With some rest, get away from alcohol, and whatever she does, she can perform much better. Look at her private concerts for fans, it was amazing when she tries getting musicians to play The Art Of Letting Go song, it is funny and I loved it cause it is very much proof that she can still sing despite every damn critical remark that people gives her. It's very hard to do it. It is even harder to sing in front of anyone cause I don't like singing in front of anyone. You just aren't going to get a perfect performance every single time which doesn't matter who you are. I think that this one isn't lipped cause the Dream part is different whistle than the studio version cause if you listen carefully the head voice on the studio version is like a half of step higher than this version. So with all this said, I do hope to hear more albums from Mariah. If she can just do the notes once, is good enough for me. I don't care what any damn body has to say to my comment. I don't care if you say negative remarks or anything cause I love the Mariah which I am sure that there are music artists that I just don't care about too as well. I really think that all these haters or what the hell you are, maybe you haters are just jealous. If you are coming on here to watch her perform but saying this and that about her lipping then you should just go and hate all of these new artists cause all of them does the same thing now days. Singers aren't machines, you know and they aren't definitely God who is perfect always when we aren't perfect. So don't expect anything to be perfect cause perfection doesn't exist. You can paint a pretty picture portrait of yourself all you want to, but don't expect anyone to believe it cause no one is perfect.

Her voice changed a lot. When Vision of Love was recorded she was 18 (it was recorded in 1988). Her voice wasn't mature back then. By the time Music Box came out her voice had matured more. When she performed it during the Daydream tour it was a different arrangement and 1993-96 was her vocal peak. Plus it's easily one of, if not the most demanding songs. There's a reason no one has even tried to cover it or sing it in one of those singing shows. That song is tough. People will sing every Mariah song under the sun but rarely has Vision of Love been tackled.

EATeezey Actually, there was a girl here in the Philippines who covered "Vision of Love" as her blind audition piece (the singing contest was "The Voice Kids 2"). She hit the whistle and her version was good, but it wasn't as flawless as the original, of course. Fortunately, that girl won the contest. (You can search it here on YT if you want.)
