As a Mexican woman and a major fan of Felix… well done ! Everything is accurate. Also she had a foul mouth! She would shout bad words across the room to whomever ! Her temper was scary . She was wildly criticized of teh pants because it was the old tradition of women wore dresses. She truly was a rebel. A good person .. idk . Good actress .. yes . A beauty… yes it made it iconic.

This video has a few discrepancies. 1. She did not continue eating human flesh. There’s and interview were she said she felt disgusted after finding out it was human meat. She did not find out until a she was flying back to Spain. 2. She did not get infected with STDS. Also in an interview, she states that she found a pharmacy note on her husbands jacket saying he had Gonorrhea. She asked her mother in law about it and she told her “you better stop having sexual relationships with him or you will die” Also there’s so many fascinating things that happened in her life, for example; she was friends with the Roth Childs, Picasso, Dali, Frida khalo, some of the richest and most influential people of her time. There’s so many photos of her with big names. She also was born and died on the same exact day. April 8

Yes, this was not the truth about the human flesh. She was not aware! How many people travel the world and have no idea what they are actually eating. Later find out and are disgusted!! So your headlines on this story is really stupid!!! Research before you comment.
I am not Maroccan but have a lot of maroccan friends and know the culture pretty well. It is absolutely NOT NORMAL to eat what she ate (even dont want to write it down from disgust). But unfortunately in some regions of Marocco they do black magic and that could be a ritual thing. Even she did not know, who were these strange ppl around her doing such horrible things? Its not just the eating, how and who did they get...? Of course it is religiously one of the gratest sins ever for their people, but... bad things and spirits dont ask for God... Yes, she could have been beautiful outside, but there is something very dark with her - still.

The rumor of her beating her son is still unknown but he did say in an interview before he died that she was very tough and cold with him but she did love him. If I recall she went all the way to Spain and took him from his father and grandmother basically all he knew only to send him to military school and hardly go see him. It was sad but I think she did that out of revenge towards her ex husband just to be spiteful. It was messed up but when he passed away you could tell she was devasted like that was the end for her and she had realised something that cut deep. Saldy a little after he passed away she did too. So the driver, he did a very rare interview where he stated saying that he was really the only one who would genuinely talk to Maria. Nobody in her immideate family cared for her and he didnt even know that she left all that to him until he woke up one morning with the news that all of her estate belonged to him! In the end the family had to accept defeat that she left NOTHING for them and the driver was the rightful owner of her estate. The cool thing about the driver though is that he really does respect and admire her and I can't quite remmeber but I think he also does little exposé's of some of her belongings for the public I could be wrong. I know like some of her jewelry she gave away before she passed or sold it like the Snake diamond and Jaguar one too

Discipline might mean educate him. The elite in Mexico are very eurocentric. Sending her kids to school in Europe would have been the thing to do for someone of her social standing.
I love Maria Felix, "La Doña". One of the most beautiful and iconic Mexican actresses. She is well-known in Latin America and beyond. Her first husband kidnapped her son and she was able to get him back by sneaking in while her husband was away. She was born in the wrong era. She was a feminist in a time were women were prohibited many things. In a chauvinistic country like Mexico (and most Latino countries) it was prohibited to wear men's wear; especially, at formal events, like a funeral. María Felix was iconic for breaking barriers on women's rights and descimination of women. He fame, beauty, and wealth helped her gain a voice that wasn't allowed for women of that era. I admire her tenacity and conviction. My aunt said I looked like her in High School. I was flattered; but, I wished! LOL 😆. Although, I was quite beautiful in those days. I'm 55 now. I still look younger than my age. Any...* was surprised to see you had made a video about her. I am so pleased. Thank you for sharing this gem to all your audiences. She was a timeless person. It's also great that the younger Latino audience get to know this lovely woman.

I feel like she would have been so popular today. Everyone enjoys a personality with edge. She’s basically what celebrities like Megan Fox, Grimes, Julia Fox, Billie Eilish, Lana Del Rey, etc. are trying to serve (no shade at all). She would be THE “it” girl right now. I also love how old Hollywood actresses were so passionate about high end jewelry and worked with luxury designers to create their dream pieces. The same effortless attempts do not translate through today’s celebrities. As always, thanks for sharing this breakdown, Karine!

first of all she was hugely popular back in the day.. on several continents.. and if she was younger today I feel it really wouldn't have made a difference ( film stars were hugely more popular back in the day ). and Mexico had an incredible Cinema industry that rivalled Hollywood in many countries. as far as personality with edge there were many, many artists back in the day with "edge".. the main difference between then and now is the " talent" factor.. which most "it" girls usually lack these days in film.. she came along & performed as an actress in the perfect era for her personality..

In Latin America (conservatively patriarchal and religious), it was definitely considered unacceptable for women to wear pants until the late 1960's. My mother grew up in NYC but when she would go back to Puerto Rico to visit as a teenager in the early to mid 1960's that she wore pants was only permitted because she was from NY. Local girls or women were not allowed to wear them.
Okay, the meat thing. There was a misunderstanding translating her interview. I think it adds shock because she waa really open and in the old fashion Mexican way she said it, really blunt. Of course, when filming the movie, someone invited her and others to eat. She said that it was sweet and good, that she really liked it, but proceeded to ask someone what it was, is when they whisper back thay it was human meat. She said she was in shock, but digested it anyway. At the end of the interview , she mentions she would have never eaten the food if she knew it was human meat. And did mention that it was not voluntary. I don't know what kinda people she was with. Having someone casually invited you for human meat, ( she metioned that it was a notable man, meaning rich and important) and having people with you that CLEARLY know is human meat is not normal. Her nonchalantness may also be because a long time passed, so she seems she already processed what actually went down.

I do want to add Maria was hardcore into really dark occultism and was This may explain how she met that moor ( I suspect he was also a dark occultist ) 1. This is a bit hard to find but she is suspected to have murdered her personal secretary ( secretary was really young, when the body was found it was found in a ritualistic manner) the next day Maria left to Europe and did not come back after more than decade. 2. In her interview/ documentary that showcases her home ( which is now a museum) her really young boyfriend at the time painted a portrait of her with demons surrounding her. She said she spends and enjoys her time with these entities. 3. Maria has also said that she sold her soul thus her life would end on her birthday when she turned 80 . 8 was her contactual number .

THE VIDEO IS BACK!!!!!! THANK YOU! WHAT HAPPENED??
She was from Sonora Mexico where my grandma is from 😍 my grandma was also very beautiful. Please do Pedro Infante next even though I already know everything about him but it's good to teach the younger generations and keep their memories alive. Also Antonio Aguilar and his wife Flor Silvestre she was so beautiful! I met them in Mexico once, they were amazing! She’s so gorgeous ❤
But I love all of your videos. They are very informative
I’m not sure if you had already but I would love to see a breakdown for Celia Cruz
I greatly appreciate the skillful portrayal you provide of iconic celebrities, as well as your captivating storytelling that keeps your audience deeply engaged with their personas. I would like to request a biography of Thalía, the acclaimed Mexican star. Despite her immense talent, she often goes underrated, and I am eager to learn more about her life. Thank you. ❤❤❤
she was so beautiful
Omg the lashes of that day were impeccable 🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾
Thank you great highlight on Maria Felix! Just curious, have you done a video on Ceila Cruz?

Do you think you could eventually cover Lupe Vélez? I’m personally very fascinated by her - their personalities are very similar
