For the Crown Princely couple to embrace it so warmly at their wedding, the future leaders of the country, shows acceptance and love for the native traditions of Norway - of whom Mari Boine and her beautiful song is a great example of. The note at the very end, is just pure magnificence..

This event was my first contact to the music of Mari Boine. Watching TV to the wedding and then this music... Breathtakingly beautiful! Since then I'm a big fan of Mari Boine and her wonderful music!

I have heard this song sung by many great singers. But I would say that this is the best performance. Although I don't understand the Sami words, her way of singing this song is just breathtaking. I also think this live performance is far better than the studio version (in the Salmer Pa Veien Hjem album)! Tusen Takk!!!

Wearing a Sámi gákti* She sings in Northern Sámi* We have Sámi, Norwegian (Bokmål) and Norwegian (Nynorsk) as official languages. Using ''lappish'' to describe Sámis and Sámi culture is incredibly offensive. Perhaps avoid using that as it is a derogatory and racist term. Thanks :)

It looks like you have general problems with norwegians. Recently I swedish net papers after yesterdays champion female boxing match Mikaela Lauren vs Cecilia Brækhus. Based on the comments most swedes are polite to norwegians. You represent yourself. You don`t represent every swede or sweden.
