@Mason Harris Let us take a step back for a moment. Confabulation is a brain trying to make sense of an event where not all things are known by the individual, but the conclusion seem reasonable to that person. Like any other process bad data or faulty logic or both can bring a faulty conclusion which further actions can follow on from. The further one follows that trajectory the more inacurate their perceptions will be. Cultural touch stones, common lore or practice, shared experiences are all points of reference where people draw from when making decisions or drawing conclusions. Narrow frames of reference for life experience or uncorrected missconceptions can combine for faulty conclusions. The flipant statement made earlier in the thread does not cover a whole range of reasons for mental illness and behaviours. Nor does it truly cover religious mania which has its own section in psychology as hyperreligiosity. There is also a difference between having an acceptance of a religious belief and requiring every action or personal experience needing to conform in all aspects to a belief, or be explained as doing so. The odd thing is the confabulation from incomplete data that the statement I made was any more serious in tone than the rest of the thread responding to Puppet guy prior to your reply to me.

Like I said it was a very forming experience. So I keep my happy little whichy pegan but to myself and pray for peace harmony and strive to do no harm to others. If you actually read the Bible, that might not be entirely inaccurate. I mean, Yahweh did start out as the Hebrew patron deity and was a god of War and Storms, so him being a bloodthirsty maniac is in keeping. Fun fact, in the original Babylonian pantheon that the Hebrews worshiped, the deity that would become the God of the Bible was Ishtar. Who was the Goddess of war, sex and political power. Kinda wish some of that managed to leak through. Maybe the world would be a happier place if Christianity was spread through some good old fashioned shagging instead of murder and screaming.
