    I live the way people spoke back then. Being born in 1982 I remember when people on television spoke this way before the influx of American entertainment. I'm so glad to have known those times even if it was at the end of those times.

    We used to speak that way in the USA as well; we had legendary speeches, actors and professionals who had perfect pitch, cadence and vocal control. All of that died in the 90s once "talk shows" tried to be less-formal, and public speaking was supposed to be more "down to earth" with politicians like the blessed Clintons.

    The Legendary Iron Lady, nice interview, she's different than i expected, much more friendly and charismatic, i understand now how regardless of her critics she still led the UK through eleven "wonderful" years.

    Margaret Thatcher to date is the best 1st Class female PM that noone would be able to come to her expctations I thi k Liz Truss dis too many U turns and not a very good Iron Lady however nonetheless she had the image of her but not the strength to carry on forward

    The days on strong,independent women who maintained strong family values with class are over. Women today are over sexualized, yet they complain about inequality. There are obviously a minority of strong, smart women today who have an interest in gaining in depth knowledge of world issues, e.t.c.

    My country has had great leaders like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Teddy effin Rosevelt, but The Iron Lady is a beakon of liberty, truth and prudence. I am always amazed by her.

    She looks so Irish! I know she had Irish grandmother and Welsh grandparents. Ancient Briton right there.     @@phillipgreer4875 Margaret Thatcher in private did not care about anyone's sexuality. The whole anti-LGBT issue against her is unfair a bit. Matthew Paris in a private meeting with her came out and told her he was gay. She said "it most have been awfully difficult for you to say that" and she came across as very sympathetic and understanding. She was a Christian, a Methodist, so her religion was a key part in her attitude to LGBT rights, but she voted in 1967 for decriminalising homosexuality.
