I just finished watching Maid and I learned so much about how messed up the system is that single moms have to go through. This series is fantastic and Margarett Qualley is very talented. I'm excited to see what she does next.

Maid is an amazing show which highlights the serious issues surrounding domestic violence and escaping poverty, and Ms. Qualley did an amazing job of bringing all those emotions to life. This interview is wonderful in its own right in that she seems so fun and down-to-earth. One of my favorite moments is her sense of wonder at the difference between getting up from a mattress on the floor to getting up from a bed with a bedframe. One unexplored question here is: Did she not get furniture until recently for the same reasons her father doesn't have furniture?
